Some of you may be thinking, "Az, complain about the reason for him being alive?! Wierd." Well I'm not exactly complaining about anime as much as I'm complaining about ANIME.
See, all through HS we in the hood (Me mainly cause everyone else sucked and didn't like it, till it became COOL of course) would watch Japanese Animation. We (Still referring to just me) loved our crappy copies off of Japanese TV's or fansubs whenever we could get our hands on them. Anywho we were proud of our "Japanese Animation" then one day (More like a tide effect) the "Cool" kids decided THEY liked Anime as well mainly due to the rise in Hook-ups clothes and they like boobs or something.
Anywho, we (I again) decided we needed a newer destincter word to call Japanese Animation since these kids were starting to infect our underground subculture. And we HATED them since for the past 3+ years we were ridiculed for our beliefs and what not. Much like the Jewish people when Hitler came to town back in oh say 1935. (hehehe, You can compare ANYTHING to WW2...Remember that my son)
Anywho, we needed newer places to hide because America has yet to come save us and in fact didn't believe there was a problem. Mainly due to the stylish swastika (Japanese Animation) Jewelery and clothing coming out at the time hence sales were up.
We couldn't take it anymore so we adapted a newer sleaker better word. "ANIME" Yes, Anime was born out of the blood of the fallen few who have loved it before its time.
But today our people are again under-threat by these bastardly people thinking that Japanese Animation is "Old Skool" and ANIME is the new thrill. You can see this by remembering that video stores either used to stick Anime in the 'Foreign Film" section or in the "Japanese Animation/ Sci-fi" Sections. But NOW they have ANIME sections featuring naught but the most greatest entertainment on Earth.
Couple years ago you'd haveta walk into porno sections or route through French films before you could get yerself a copy of Ranma or Project A-ko. BUT NOW IT'S EVERYWHERE! (Granted I like that I can go to any corner store and pick up almost all the anime I want but) Our subculture is fading and fading fast. Soon these Nazi's (Thought I forgot eh) will roll over us Blitzkrieg style and put us into our interment camps of ridicule for NOT being on the bandwagon watching Anime when in fact WE were watching it first!
I say we change the WORD Anime to something that will gain our ground back. They may be bombed to crap but just like the courageous Jewish people of Germany we will suffer for our rights to be individuals! I propose we now start to cal Anime "Amine" Pronounced A-Mi-Ney.
I Beeseech you good people. Please spawn this word far and wide to our underground brotherin and let the genocide of our people end!

Heyhey, that's so true. Back on topic, I'd can tell you that anything that used to be seen as something that was "gay" or "uncool" "back in the ol days" and that has, all of the sudden, became "cool" will result in being somewhat, well, I dunno, it's as if it lacked the "magic" of being uncool, you know, I mean, it's like back in 1942, there would have never been an Operation Overlord if it was common used tactic to take over a highly defended strategic point by Nazi. And just see how people act in games, I mean, like Quake or Unreal (pretty much the same if you ask me) they don't give a damn if they die after they were cought cornered and fraged themself while killing 2 other guys from the opposite team, at least they died and made 2 kills! Back in WWII, kamikase were seen as irrationnal and dishonorable warriors by the americans, now, well, slightly after the war, they became models of exemple to fallow.
And since it now became "cool" to frag yourself in order to make the kill, it becomes just too predictable and that's why GODAMMIT everyone values the sniper rifles over the rocket laucher in FPS nowdays!!! The rocket laucher isn't a bad weapon, it just became uncool becose it went beyong the "coolness" level of being cool (err, does that make sence?) and everyone got tired of it now everyone snipes, then the trill will be to knife kill people, if it hasn't already started -_-. Mankind is so predictable, if you see them act in the extrem, you can say that the next "wave" of morality or whatever will be in the extrem opposite, which is bad (like all extrems, and it's not by going in the extrem that we will find balance)
ok, now the last paragraph was SLIGHTLY off topic, I guess. Come to think about it, the entire post didn't really fit exactly in the topic, I didn't even say ANIME once! HaHA! Now I did!

I think Japanimation was some kinda TNT thing they started when they played Vampire Hunter D...Could be wrong but I do apologize for not putting that in the earlier rant.
However now that I think about it it was kinda odd for me to compare Japanese Animation to Nazi Germany when in fact there WAS a pacific theater fought by none other than the Japanese and Americans...Hmmm, guess it's cause I was more for studying the European campaign...Not sure...Need doctor. |
