People... - Not all, just one right now.

There will always be people. There will always be people that hate you/me/everyone. There will always be people that talk behind your/mine/everyone's back. This is a story of a certain red-head and her conflict with such a person.

Alrighty. Now that that's said...There's a girl, in school, named Karime. Now, as we all know, I try to be agreeable, and I really do. She hates me anyway...we won't go into name calling here, because I try...at least try...to be a little mature, even when I'm mad. But you see...*sigh* perhaps I should enlighten you all on the situation, ne?

ALLrighty...well, first of all, It's an important thing to know, when reading this, that I live with my grandparents. (When I first met Sakura, I was living with my uncles and my cousin. Hey, Sakura, remember Ryan? ^~ He's only gotten MORE annoying. But anyway...) My parents are, yes, a touchy subject, and I try not to talk about them...Karime, you see, constantly brings it up. I told one person, ONE, what happened. (Since this friend does not liked to be named, ever, we'll just call her Dice, one of her many aliases.) Well well...Somehow, Karime finds out. I don't think it was Dice, really, but someone else...I wrote it all out in a note, and when you want things to be secret, notes aren't exactly...the best form of communication, yano? But...ANYWAY. One day at lunch, Karime says I'm lying about what happened with my parents, because somehow, she believes their dead...Oh my, isn't that rude. I wasn't invited to the funerals...Now anyway...I start to yell about how it's none of her buisness and how she should stay out of it, and the next thing I know I'm crying infront of the entire 8th grade (mucho embarassing)...then she goes to Hill (the mediator person) and tells her we're fighting, then refuses to come in the room/isn't cooperative/ect...^^;; Now that you know the first story, let's warp to today, shall we?

Welly well well. Dice, Samantha, and Ravin (friends of mine that sit by Karime at lunch) tell me all these things that Karime says once I walk away. Other people have told me she says the same things, and sometimes, I hear just a bit as I'm leaving....so I tell Brittany, Destiny, and Crystal that I'm gonna tell her to say it to my face and not behind my back the next period (my next class with her)...(yeah, I know, I have alot of friends in this...she's dispised by nearly the entire school.) So, I walk to Social Studies, and I get in there. Guess who's not there...well. She walks in, and I tell her, right then and there "Hey, Just tellin ya', next time you have a comment to make, make it to my face, not behind my back." Simple enough, right? I go to sit down, because, that's all I really needed to say, and I really don't need to make a scene out of it. (I'm not a violent or overly-agressive person, really...) She sits there, calls me a liar, and sits down, saying that she has no clue what I'm talking about. Oki-doki. Forget the whole 'don't make a scene' thing. (I put up with about 3 months of this ^^;; ) So, basically...I look at her, and say "Don't try to look dumb, because for you it's not hard." Everyone laughs. She just looks at me, kinda sideways...and I continue...somthing along the lines of this:

'Yano, maybe I'm just another stupid country girl, but I know when someone dosen't know how to close their mouth. If you can't teach yourself how, I'm sure me, or anyone else in this room will be quite pleased to teach you...' at this point, another girl, Latonya, stands:

"If you think Karime's lame then...OH SNAPS!" ...everyone snaps their agreeance. (It's a thing at my school) I laugh and continue.

"Now, If you have somthing to say, please speak now, instead of later when I'm not around." Karime glares, then says "Yeah, I have somthing to say, but your mental capacity isn't great enough to comprehend it." I laugh, and reply "Karime, you don't know what the word 'comprehend' *means*." she responds with "Leave me alone." sigh. Me again. "No. I need to tell you this here and now. And even though you're pretending like you can't, I know you can hear this. You think it's funny, but I don't play like that. I'm not going to throw the first punch, but if you start it, I'll finish it." (Someone from the other side of the room screamed 'Get 'em!' ...but...that's irrelevant.) At this point, I close it all up. "So either shut up, or get shut up. I'm not violent, and I don't like being mean...but...it had to be done. That's all I have to say." and I sit. This is when Ms. Pirkle chooses to pull me out of the class. Oh well. So I missed social studies, but science's a bore. Specially with the most spiteful teacher in existance. 90% of people are ok. It's the other 10% i'm worried about....

), I'm sorry. At least you can tell your feelings out like that, I mean. I don't have the gut to tell anyone that. I'd prolly start a fight, after I blur something out something very stupid. I'm not a real cool person about being talked about. I get quite mean...sometimes. I'm really sorry, then really proud for you. ^.^ Sorry, not meaning to sound offensive or anything.

^^;; Dunno. This has been a long time coming...She thinks it's cool to go off and cut yourself, and try to commit suicide (twice) when nothing's really wrong...^^;; she says I get all the attention...I mean, it's not my fault that people don't like her cause she's all irritable and depressed all the time...Right?

People like that should be hung by their toenails over a pit of alligators. Talking about someone's parents like that has to be the absolute LOWEST thing you can do! Well, aside from hanging people upside down by their toenails over a pit of alligators...

Fine, we'll hang her above a pit of crocodiles, instead! After all, one low deserves another!

I got the crocodiles covered...but where am I gonna get a pit that big this time of night? Hee. Just the mental image of that is tempting. What I'm hoping is that she'll shut her mouth and leave me alone now instead of fighting. Don't get me wrong. I'm not scared of her, but like I said, I'm not very violent. Now, back to this crocodile thing...if we can't get the pit, we could always shove bamboo under her fingernails *cackles madly* Devil

And you're right, she's not depressed. All these bad things happen in her head, and somehow she gets them mixed up with real life. I've had my share of troubles, and they're pretty bad, but I'm not gonna sit around whining like it's gonna help somthing. You have to get over stuff. I'm only 13, but I know it's true.

"Oh, my step-dad's so mean. He makes me make coffee for him in the morning."--she didn't even mean that she had to *make* the coffee. She had to pour it in the cup. Oh, grand hatred, oh troubles of trouble. ...Sigh.

I like, I like! ^___^ We could hang her over the pit by bamboo clipped to her toenails! And douse her in hot coffee! ...It'd be funny if she turned into a guy. But I don't think she's ever been to china. Mwahaha.

Oi, ya know. She may have a legitimate reason to be upset.

She may not get attention at home, which would be sad, which is why she is trying so hard for it at school. It doesn't excuse her actions of talking the way she does. And especially since she tries to commit suicide.

She needs help. And moreover, especially if it's true the way it sounds that nobody in school likes her, she may need more desperately, a friend.

Honestly though, if she were to succeed in her suicide attempts, how many of the kids at school are going to talk about her "She was such a good person." "She was my friend." "I'm going to miss her."?

I don't pretend to know her, but I know people who try to "one up" who hurts the worst, who has it the worst, my life is sooo much harder than yours.

It's about sympathy and attention. And it'll happen a lot.

You don't have to be her friend, and by reacting the way you have gives her attention. And at that stage of her neediness, any attention, even bad, is still attention.
