the blahs

I hate it when you try to think of good things about yourself, but you cant really come up with much. Ive been thinking all day today adn been kinda bummed, I really dont have any talents I can show off like most people. Im not all that smart. I cant draw, or sing, or contort, or anything. Its kinda depressing. And also thinking....I think Im kinda boring. I really dont have any exciting stories to tell from my youth, and the few stories I do ahve are from teh past year or so, and they are really only funny if the people know the people in the story... Sad

sorry, im just having a down day, maybe i got a bout of home sickness today or something...im just blah adn cant think of anything of worth to really be proud of =\

awww don't get down sci! You're a great person and you're really fun to talk to! I have days like that too, when I get really disheartened about myself and I can't seem to think of any positive talents I have. But even if you can't see your charm, other people can. Don't get down about it. You've made so many good friends around, that must be a testament to your personality! You're funny, talkative, helpful, caring and kind - and if I can see your positive aspects, so can everyone else!

Wow, like Arima and Miyazawa's insecurities all at once. ("I'm a square," "All I do is get good grades." Sry, was watching Karekano this weekend, so everything's coming up kk.)

I think Breez covered it pretty well. It's hard for us to see the great stuff in ourselves. We take it for granted cuz we're with ourselves all the time.

But if that doesn't make you feel any better, (and hey, multiple "you rock" messages never hurt, so...) look at how many people you've brought to this board, and look at what you do to help people here. Sure, maybe it's not on the standard list of talents people talk about, but you're good at bringing people together and making them feel like they're part of something meaningful. (With the folks we've got here, PO means something, all communities do, and you're a significant part of that.)

PO's a great place, but like with any community, it's the regulars that make it worthwhile. You might not be able to come up with something interesting about yourself at the moment, but there's a bunch of POs who wouldn't be the same without you. (Even those of us that can't draw up spiffy "we'll miss you" art.)

Know the feeling chic, methinks the blahs are spreading. Just think back to finer days and smile on fond memories. As for no talent...you know thats no true, you have a keen eye for photography. Besides you can't have the blahs...i have enough for EVERYONE.

and my photography isnt an everyday thing tho, just moments ya know? I look int eh fanworks and I see so many great poems, stories, art...and i really cant contribute in any way. My creativity is pretty much shot. I cant even role play like I used to. I mean yeah Ive got good traits, im not saying i dont, I think im a good listener and friend, even tho that has been faulty at times lol, im only human. but for actual skills that I can just whip out any ole time...i really cannot think of anything =\ it sucks much ass

To tell you the truth Sciler, I know exactly how you feel. I would actually really like to go to ACEN, but the MAIN reason I wont, is that I feel so ultimately average, and it seems like the ppl attending all have something one up on me....That and I'd rather not become the butt of some kind of inside joke (wow, thats paranoia hard at work) But like they said, chin up!

its a good group of people, I say if you can go, definitely do, between the PSOtakus crew, and the PocketOtaku crew...thats good people, cant find much better than that

A) You're a riot! You have a great sense of humor and can find funny all over the place.
B) You're a good listener! For people who NEED to talk (me) you actually listen.
C) You're practical! You don't have to have the "most toys" to be happy. you enjoy what you have.
D) You're have a strong family relationship! You treat your Mom, George, Granny, and your Dad like the world has nothing more to offer.
E) (I hope I'm not crossing the line here but....) You're beautiful! I can't count how many times I used to look at you and be completely amazed at what you are. It really pisses me off that most girls are so f***ing picky that they can't even see how beautiful they are for themselves!! Even if there's something about you that's less than perfect, love only sees the good things! And those who don't see the good things are just insecure enough to have to point them out to themselves to bolster their own weak self-esteem! Rant

I have encountered this so much...My wife has the same problem.
F) You're a great friend! Despite what we went (read as: I put you..) through, you've always been able and willing to be there for me and anyone else that needed a friend.
G) You're generous! This kinda fits into the good friend one but is even more rare.

That's what I can think of off hand. I'm sure I'll remember more later.

I dont get the funny part tho, Im usually the one laughing at everyone else's humor, so many times i feel like I cant contribute and be funny =\ maybe i just dont pay attn to when im funny I dont know

No lady! You definitely have filled your own funny shoes. And Ray is right, you can't ask for better friends than the type that come in packages like you. We all have cranky days, blah days, but I just think of all the times we've giggled ourselves silly and I realize just how much I miss you!
