Saw the movie yesterday, was about what I expected it to be seeing as the second book was the weakest of the series so far. The pacing of the movie got everything important in and managed to make it all look really cool, but a lot was removed that somewhat becomes importan in later books. All in all, it was a pretty good movie.
NOw as a side bonus, here's a chance for you to say what Potter character you think you are most like. I personally think I am most like Prof. Remus Lupin, but that's just me |

Both movies and books alike, I'm a big fan of the whole HP thing. Saw the new movie yesterday and absolutely loved it. It made my day. Yeah, the pacing was a bit off, left some things out, but again it really captured some great moments and enjoyable scenes. I think I liked it a tad more than the first movie because there wasn't a whole lot of introduction to take up time; everything was just one familiar event after another, and it was yum. I enjoyed the whole older character thing too.
Character I'm most like? Hrm.. I dunno.. But my fave char from the series is Sirius Black. So. Yeah. Boojah!
Third movie's gonna kick bootay. The new director's a pretty talented guy. Just too bad it's not coming till 2004 summer. |

I have not seen the second movie yet, but I saw the first one, and it was really good, but no matter what, the books are gonna be better. That isn't to say the movie won't be good. I'm really looking forward to it, in fact. The movie should be really good. But the books... they're the BOOKS, man! They have so much depth and character and personality that you just can't have in a movie from time restrictions and the fact that inner monologue is sooo much more clumsy and cumbersome. I LOVE the Harry Potter books, though! Go read them, people! And anyone who says that their kids books and thus won't read them... well, you just suck! :p

I loved the books Sperrit, I was just pointing out that the movie itself was quite good, and actually the second book translated well to a movie because it had more action to it than say, the Third book did. Books will almost always be better than movies, that should be a given |

Well, I enjoyed the flick....Well, I WOULD have enjoyed the flick if the entire freakin movie wasn't ruined before it started! The MANAGER of the movie theater figured it'd be a good idea to play some trivia before the movie started. Now it wasn't trivia on the book it was trivia on the movie that he saw the night before. So basically there were like 50 questions that ruined any and all suspense in the flick since I KNEW what was going to happen due to the answers given to said questions. Granted if I'd have read the book then it would have been ruined but I was one of the select few people with one of them things called a job and bills and can't afford the time let alone the moola to purchase EVERY book in the world. You ever try to collect every book R.A. Salvatore ever wrote? Good luck. Not to mention re-reading the LOTR trilogy before the flicks which requires new purchases cause I never owned the books before....Ugh, damn rambling chip. Anywho, good flick. Nice story, can't compare to the book.
Ummm, if I could be a HP char I'd like ta be Malfoy, mainly cause his name kicks so much ass Draco (Come on, that screams cool) Malfoy (It sounds stupid AND cool). Plus that whole evil presence is just nice. And if I become a pain in someone's ass I can just say, stayin in char dood. |

The Malfoy's are Vampires?! THAT IS SO FRIGGIN COOL!
JUst kidding, but they are very effective servants of Lord Voldemort, I mean Tom Riddle; I'm wondering if Draco will even return to Hogwarts, as now that Voldemort was resurrected I don't see how Draco could not be expected to be a security risk |

And Not just ANY vampires to boot. Draco's dad is Alucard the prince of ALL vampires... And since he's a half vampire and Dracula's son then that means him and Vampire Hunter D are the same guy! Yes! My HP char's father is the greatest vampire hunter to ever live (sorta) MWAHAHA! p|-|33r my blood sucking prowess!
P.S> Alucard is Dracula backwards...Some people don't notice that and I think it's cool. |
