IMAX: SWEII AOTC - And my disapproval

So I saw Star Wars E2 on the IMAX and I must say... the last battles scene starting from the execution was incredible. Of course... there was no doubt right.

But I have to say, I'm pretty upset that they cut scenes out of it. My group and I caught 12 scenes that were cut out.

The first one that I noticed is the scene where Obi-Wan says:

"Anikan, don't do anything with out first contacting me or the Jedi Council"

From there it was the race to see who could find the most. I caught 6 of them myself. My roomie caught 4 and my auburn2209 caught 2 of them.

I don't know, I guess it was ok b/c it got me to the really kick arse battle scene quicker, but ... the movie is 2H 15M, and we got out of the theater in less then 2 hours.

Not sure what Lucus was thinking, but I think he should have left all the scenes in.

FOR REAL! HOW COULD THEY EVEN THINK ABOUT CUTTING SCENES FROM STAR WARS EP II??? HOW!? THAT SERIES IS AN INSTITUTION! IT"S NOT LIKE PEOPLE AREN"T GOING TO NOTICE OR CARE! THERE ARE PLENTY OF PEOPLE THAT CARE! I CARE!

FOR REAL!!!! I mean, Star Wars is one of my fav movie(s) of all time! And I know I'm not the only one! I can't BELIEVE that they cut out scenes!

Well, thx shino, I was thinking about seeing it on IMAX but now that you mentioned how it was, err, I'm not too sure I want to see it anymore, I'll save the money it would have cost me me and my gf and buy the DVD instead :p

At least they cut some of that horrid dialogue that Anakin says during his "wooing" of Amidala.

Though I don't see how Vader could ever take on Mace Windu, besides, Sam Jackson is one bad mother- SHUHT YOH MOUF!

Yeah, the dialogue where he tries to woo Padme is... well... okay, it's just plain terrible. But, come on! If you really think about it the only reason the wooing dialogue in the first movies between Han and Leia worked was because (and I have no problem saying this) Harrison Ford has got Mojo. Hayden Christensen maybe be a Bishounen, but he's got no suave. He's just a whinner, and that's all he can do. Ford's got suave. That's the difference right there.
And, yes, Pot, I agree. I have a hard time seeing this guy not only take on but defeat Mace Windu and the other Jedi, let alone Dooku, who he will have to kill as his replacement ("Only two are there, no more, no less.") And I know that he doesn't kill Obi Wan and Yoda, but I can't see how he could be scary enough for them to not face him. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Personally, Kettle I agree with you, especially since we now know how much ass Yoda is capable of kicking now.

If is me, or did anyone else get goosebumps at the end of the movie when you see the Clone Army mobilizing, and then the Imperial March begins to play? I seriously giggled like a silly genki school girl when I heard that...
