I don't do weights. At all. And I don't think I ever will.
And also-- I can't have either bananas or orange juice. <3 I'm allergic to raw fruit. But if I ever start working out regularly I'll possibly pick up some potassium pills or something, I guess. |

You should lift weights! I tell every female that. I don't understand why every female doesn't (despite time and laziness...which is the reason I don't do it all the time). It's wonderful for you, especially when you're like me and hate cardio. I just do a cardio warm-up and lift weights most of the time. I may not be completely lean, but I'm mean. :]
As for full meals...even when I have chances I sometimes don't eat full meals. It's probably better for you just to have lots of snacks throughout the day, for anyone. We're always using calories (evenly) so it's logical to spread them out so your body doesn't have to carry around calories during the day (uncomfortable).
Take an epsom (magnesium sulfate) salt bath! If you don't already know, you can find it at any drugstore or supermarket. |

Sore muscles can come from not just a lack of exercise, but an improper cool down afterwards. Lactic acid will get stored up and cause some pain.
UP said it best, walk when you are sore to work it out. And Nari is right that you should start lifting some weights, even if it is just 5lb dumbbells that you rep many times with. |

And quit eating shit, that'll help out the most. People don't realize what they eat affects how they feel after they work out. And quit whining about it 13mins is nothing to complain about and rather short, too short to be anything worthwhile. You should always try and set out 30mins for exercising if your going to do so at all. |

Calm down... diet does not much of a factor in exercising unless you are very deficient in something (protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, etc). If that is the case, then that problem would be obvious before exercise enters the equation.
Also if someone is just starting out, 30 minutes of jogging might be to much. It doesn't do someone any good to over-exert when starting out, and injure yourself. You don't need 30 minutes to do a anaerobic workout like pushups, crunches, calisthenics, etc.
I made the mistake of trying to do the Stone Mountain Run course the other day (5 miles/8 kilometers) thinking that I was in good enough shape for it (I used to run marathons in High School for gods sake!). I did it at a fair clip 8:30/mile. The next day I could barely walk, I tore my calves apart, and it took 2 weeks to recover fully... which basically screwed the month of exercising I did before that trying to get back into mediocre running shape. |

If her diet was anything like it was when I was with her sister it's a very oblonged diet and lacking in several things. I'm talking total workout time should be a dedicated 30mins, You don't have to run the entire 30mins or do one type of exersie for 30mins, but you should workout for at least 30mins. Yes that does include walking and stretching in those 30mins, which should be at least 5mins before and after and doing muscle groups you didn't even work out with.
Also as Nari stated you should lift weights as well even low ones like 5lbs are good to do. It helps give the body a more even workout. |

I am talking about a one-time incident, Blackmage. I am not complaining about starting an exercise routine. You are giving advice for starting an exercise routine, which I've already stated I'm working on an am not looking for advice on.
Also, my diet is a -lot- better than it used to be. So don't talk about things you don't know shit about. |

Sure. ^^ I just found his comments really rude. Particularly since he obviously -didn't- know what he was talking about.
Anyhow, I recovered a lot faster this time. I was almost completely better on Friday, and by Saturday I wasn't sore at all, which was nice. I'm also almost finished with the class (this Wednesday will be my final/last day), so no more worries about being forced to run on a treadmill for twelve minutes straight. I think, actually, that part of the reason I recovered faster was because I did do the situps/pushups and stuff before the treadmill instead of doing the treadmill first, though there was ten minutes downtime between the two because there aren't that many treadmills (and I did work myself harder this time than I did last) so there's no telling if it really did do any good. |
