Ya! that is THE place to find good remixes of video game music, old or new.

It's sad I can't find the cool smooth techno-trance remix with piano in it of Top Gear Rally 2 anywhere anymore

Anyone has it or knows of what I'm talking about?

Holy sh... now this peice is something I couldn'T have imagined not even in my wildest dreams of remixes in ol skool gaming history ... ok, I'm exaggerating a little but still, I found the original Icecap theme in Sonic 3 one of the best ever, and then I fall on this -> http://remix.overclocked.org/songs/Sonic_3_Snowy_Caps_OC_ReMix.mp3 ... Yas!!!! My friend finnally got his MP3s on cds!! ... I am presently carefully filtering the best from the good in the 10 compilations he sent me to make a list here on PO ... see you in 86 hours! lol (that's about the play time of all the mp3s na it won't take that long, I already listen to half of them at work last night )

The day I'm gonna hate someone for his musical tastes I think I'll shoot myself, so don't worry about that heyhey.

Now here's the big list! I found out that 2 of the 10 cds where tunneltrance albums (and they kick azz) and there was an other hip-hop cd, and a game music cd with hard metal (such as Soil, Tristania and some other stuff)

DJ Weirdo - Young Birds (Ard Und Jorn Remix) GET IT! GET IT!!! This is by far one of the best tracks I have heard in a while. Could do really well in a final boss fight for some game.
New Energy - One Turn (Original Mix) Interesting tune. Not much melody but a sweet beat nonetheless.
Second Sun - Empire (Paul Van Dyrk Mix) Really nice tune if you want to take things smooth. The beauty of the melody is flawless here.

Armageddrive - Overclock Mode
This one is special; I themed it on computers, and the songs inspired me into making up a situation for the whole soundtrack. I'm creepy. ^.^

1) Mirco De Govia - Epic Monolith
It's early morning, time to go to work. You get in your car and travel to the computer building. Along your path, everything smells of fresh technology.

2) Ransom - My Dance (Ferry Corsten Mix) (Excellent tune.)
You enter the computer central. You are working in an especially tight and bright section, full of wires, buttons, switches and screens. Often, you go into a huge multi-level room where several other people work. There are no windows, you are right in the center of the whole complex. This is where you create all those miracles of computer technology and programming.

3) Astral Projection - 1,000,000 Years From Today
The computer has encountered an error. Everything was shut down and everyone has evacuated, except you. You take an elevator and go under the multi-level room, where all the wires, cables and boards meet. The area is dark green and black from all the boards around here. There are very few lights. Some short circuits surprize you. You hop onto a catwalk and search for the next elevator...

4) Astral Projection - Aqua Line Spirit
Instead of an elevator, the door takes you to an unlighted room, full of fluorescent blue liquid. You have entered the computer's main cooling system reservoir. You need to weave your way through giant steel pumps, flow chambers and steam machines. That, and the temperature is getting extremely cold...

5) Sonorous - Protonic (Ronski Speed Mix) (Excellent tune. It makes me feel an extremely odd emotion I have never experienced before. My best description is a mixture of awe and depression, as if I had ended up in a futuristic paradise, but there was no one to meet me.)
An elevator takes you further into the core of the computer. You end up in a sterile, dust gray area, where you see old screens, machinery and circuits... And the lower half of the room is sumberged into liquid mercury! The room comes alive as you end up in the middle of it. Giant steel window blinds move away, to reveal glass windows showing... A futuristic city?! The city seems sterile and lifeless, shining gray, dead.

6) Astral Projection - Infinity Justice
You take an elevator down and end up in a more industrial-like chamber. The computers seem very old and archaic, but you gotta keep going. Pistons and gears operate around you. There are white hanging lightbulbs everywhere, some of them even twisted and caught into nonfunctionning gears.

7) Astral Projection - People Can Fly
This is the Acid Room, coated in green jelly, liquid, and other oozing substances. You find yourself attacked by glowing green flying figures, who can shoot acid straight out of their bodies and gather themselves back up by simply dipping in the acid pool far below you. The acid is powerful, as it releases fumes and a noise of effervesence. Eye-cameras move around and explore your moves. They wonder who you are.

Trance Generators - Connected (Great tune.)
You are nearing your goal when the computer detects your presence... As hostile! The insane processors try to scan your brain and incessantly require you to open your mind and become subject to a telepathic scan. The machines around you go crazy. The room is engufled in red light as machines go on and defense systems erupt from everywhere around you. You shriek in terror as you see various bloody knives, circular saws and other infernal means of destruction gathering up around you.

9) Resident Aliens - Fire Dance
You reach a huge silver sphere. You open the armored door, get in, and lock it behind you. You find out you have entered the Core Brain, there computer's one and only decision-making machine. Its conscience. And it now wants to destroy you. You are about to face laser cannons, flamethrowers, knives, psychic attacks, giant wind blowers, shredder suck-turbines, and a pool of lava that slowly creeps up, and up. You have very little time. If you fail to destroy the Core Brain before the four minutes elapse, you will die in the most horrible of manners. This is the ultimate battle, and you have to win!

10) Pulser - Cloudwalking (Beat Pusher Remix) (Great tune)
The core brain blows up in a huge ball of light. You find an emergency elevator and get in. It takes you all along a protected glass tube, slowly taking up up, and up, and up all along the building. You see the city before you. It's beautiful The core brain explodes, a huge ray comes out of the building, destroying it, but it doesn't harm you. As the ray dissipates, little strands and balls of light come out of the newformed hole and fountain all over the city. The spectacle is unbelievable. You don't know how high that elevator goes, but you don't care. Everything is too beautiful now. Everyone has died due to the shockwave, but the elevator compartment has protected you somehow. Everywhere, cars have stopped. Everything is lifeless and dead. But it could have been worse. You could have been among the dead too.
