In this day and age I think that would be considered ABNORMAL. I don't think that EVER happened at my house! We were all off doing other things. It was very odd the few times it happened.

its not my fault that i am never rebellious, and that my family is by far one of the greatest families known to all.

I have to say though, we may eat together, but its always at 9:30, cause my parents get home late from work.

The key to it all, though, would be family love. Ming and I are very loving to our parents. It is what has kept our family nice and close knit. Take for example, just sit down with your father or mother, and ask them how their day was. I do it every day when my folks get home from work. it makes them feel good that i have a concern for them. Also, im always in sinc with my family. if i go somewhere, they will most definitely know about it. Part of this spawned from my parent's overprotectiveness in the past, and how i dont like to worry my parents. I just remember that i want my parents to have the greatest life for themselves in the future, and in order to do that, I need to make sure that their life is okey dokey.

That is the secret to my family's success. So i guess if anyone has any family problems, im probably not the one to go to, but if u want to know any more secrets, just let me know.

As far as I'm concerned family is kinda like a big gamble. You have no choice as to WHO your family is, or what kind of people they are. You could end up with a great family: supportive, friendly, understanding. However you could end up with a terrible family. I've heard too many stories of terrible families who do terrible things to their children, brothers or sister to believe fully in the Family is #1 idea. As far as I'm concerned it's your friends that really matter. They are the ones that you CHOOSE to love, meaning that they must mean a whole heck of a lot to you. For me friends come before family any day.

heh...my mom, dad, gramma and stepdad are great, love em to death..Most of the rest of my family, with a few exceptions, but mostly my dad's side of the family...I have disowned them as family. I dont even acknowledge them anymore. They lie and use people, family being the one used the most. And I didnt want that, or those kind of people in my life...so they know not to contact me for anything, because I wont help them, I wont visit them, and I sure as hell won't love them. Sounds bad yeah, but ya know what? They brought this upon themselves.

I would have to agree with Sperrit.

My parents use to get mad at me because I always wanted to hang out with my friends all the time. They use to tell me that family is first, but half of the time they usually piss me off. But, I don't have to deal with those problems when I am hanging out with the guys. Parents don't realize the fact that when you get older there are not always gonna be there for you and that the people that will be there for you are friends. But, there are times when you should go to your family.

im sorry sperret and ranma, but to me, the order things go is so forth:

Family/God, friends

i feel that family is very important, because you have the connection to them, wehreas they were the one's that bore you. Really, your parents are the ones that know exactly what you feel, because they usually know how it feels to feel like that. Yet i have to agree, where sometimes, friend can help more in certain problems. But i feel that parents are the real people that you should go to if you arent feeling right, and that family is more important then friends, because parents may not be able to be there for you when you are older, but you need to be there for them when you are older. how would you feel if the people that brought you into this world would die alone on their death bed, with no family to wish them goodbye? More off, how would you feel if your kids weren't there when you died, and you passed away in silence?
