Hmmm.... There are many different possible answers to your question Pot, especially in the realm of the Flop Jocks. At this point one cannot know the full extent of this "game's" influence on reality, or what it's true nature is, at least not in the context of the comic. I think Hobbes will back me up on that.

Pocket Otaku the card game.

Starring... all the Otaku available in Version 1 of PO. IE everyone who has an otaku before the switch to the new design/server.

This is something that Doot and I have talked about and we hoped to get some help from the FJ crew due to their knowledge of MagicTG.

I think that we'd be more than happy to help you out in such an endevor. I could probably whip up some card ideas over the weekend.

One question though, do you want a new rules system, or it to be based off of an existing one? It would take longer to make a new rules system, and while it would be time consuming, you could also get the most out of it creatively

I think that we could come up with a new system with a little bit of effort and creativity and that way we would have a game that reflected the Spirit of PO! That would be cool! So if you guys doing the game want some help, I'm in. I'm no stranger to card games, after all.

Not sure... I"ve never played magic... maybe you can give me (by PM or IM) a short summery of the rules of Magic... and we can start from there.

You know, I was thinking about this, and using the M:TG rules seems... inadequet for a PO game. I'd say that we should do it more like Magi-Nation where you have Character cards that you act through. For instance, I would have a Pot card and the Pot card has certain powers and abilities and I would play the battle as Pot, using his abilities and such. Then we could have each player have multiple POs that they can go through or use during the battle and each PO would be a main character, as opposed to a summoned creature or something. Just an idea.

Regretably Shino, you're asking for a Pandora's box to be opened that even I could not close. I could point you to some sights that would be helpful, but I must say that I like Sperrit's idea to use Magi-Nation rules.

Now I have to go brush up on said rules because I am still very lax on them

They are really easy to get the hang of. That's one of the things that I like about Magi-Nation. The rules are very straitforward and easy to understand and the people who make the new Editions of the Rules make it so that there are no all-powerful loophole things that make it so your opponent is blocked completely and dies without being able to fight back. Plus the pictures are cool!
