A-kon rally!

Gonna try to get off that Saturday so I can join yall friday night but I dont know how well that is gonna go over with the boss lady. But I WILL be there, if only for 1 night.

Shino, if you end up coming by yourself, it might even be cheaper to fly since the gas prices are so f'n high. Just something to think about.

I'm really feeling poopy about it. Damn financial standing. Am low on fundage due to Sak's 16th birthday and my Dad's upcoming birthday.

Well just for th record I already have all four days of A-Kon off from work and I think this will be the first con where Ive been able to spend as much time as I want and not have to worry about money as much. And Im really looking forward to any POs that are gonna be there too, SHino, Shan, Beholder, whoever j00 know.

I want to go.. and I have money for a ticket and a room to share.. but.. umm well.. Seza can't drive >..;; and um.. I'd fly but umm.. 300 bucks for a plane ticket doesn't tickel my fancy ((plus I don't have that much money)).. I'm sticking with AWA this year and actually cosplaying something other than Naruto ;.;

so did anyone go? i was going to but as i have a horriable habit of not keeping track of the day or the date (muwahahaha all i need to know is the time of day it is)... i don't mean of a-kon i mean every day n date.. anyway i didn't realize until it was over that i missed it... oh well better luck next year.. but if someone went would love to know how it was ^_^

Well I talked with Aradia about it.

I couldn't go b/c I had a Force Game to go to. The National Conference Championship was this past Saturday, so I was unable to make it down there.

It was allright. Faye and I and our friend chris went sunday. As the last day of all cons, theres a sad deeling in the air from the get go. Everyone knows the party is over and anyone left there is basically riding out the last vestiges of the atmosphere. Art shows are done, cosplay contest is over, no more parties, no more special guests. Its a sad day to even go to a con unless youur jsut there to buy stuff, in which case theres some great deals. The three of us spent a lot of time just walking around - we bought a few things in teh dealer's room, I purchased art from table artists (which is where I perfer to spend most of my money since I've grown to respect PO and artists that carry on in the same tradition) and what not. Sat in on some AMVs, that was fun, did a few screenings, but mostly the day was over before it began. Im glad I went, but Im even more saddened that I didnt go earlier. Being at those sorts of events makes me wish more though, that I could have gone to them when I was a bit younger. Que sara - what I saw of It was great, and didnt have the "omg super packed" feeling that the previous A-kon's had.
