Diablo gave space between Tobias and himself, his blade, he wanted it, desired it.. No needed it. His focus on his blade, the link between him and foul energy would ensure they would not stay apart for long.

The blade vibrated, it sensed it's true master's lust, his insatiable appetite for the carnage the weapon can unleash.. The vibrations grew more violent as time passed, jerking towards it's other half, no it' true self. It is his soul, he just a soulless form of power, muscle, bone, and blood lust. A weapon. The power behind the sword began dragging Akuko towards him, it would reach itself no matter what.

The Keeper missed her intended target, the sword moving the Bastet out of the way, barely. She turned to face Akuko and smiled. She sheathed her blades, her job done. The blade would be returned regardless of her intervention.

Keeper: "Release the blade young one and stand aside as it was always meant to be.. He will kill this lord, maybe.. Maybe.."

The Keeper rested her hand gingerly on Akuko's shoulder. Not knowing if she would still attack, the Keeper kept her guard up.

Akuko dropped back in a defensive stance, but felt the immense blade pull her forward, closer to Diablo. She felt powerless to resist the lure, knew what the blade could do. She couldn't let the demon have it....yet...

Akuko dropped the large blade on the ground. She closed her eyes and heard it clatter, heard it sliding across the ground, closer to Diablo. She felt the demonesses hand upon her shoulder, cringed and spun away. She made sure there was distance between her, Diablo and the demoness.

Something told her that this was not her fight. She looked to Tobias and found herself staring at his silvery eyes. She saw his power and for once she felt that he could defeat the demon, even without the demon blade.

She walked up to Tobias, kneeled before him and said, "Thank you friend...for everything...."

"I will no longer fight, but," she said sotte voce, "if you need me, I will assist you.

Go. was all that Tobias said to Akuko. His voice was monotone and deep, an odd echo rolling out of his lungs behind the words he spoke. It sounded as if more than one man was inside the Wayward.

He began his approach. The demon's blade continued to slide on the ground, inching closer and closer to the beast. His eyes met Diablo's.

Tobias hoisted his blade up high, a pale violet light pulsating from Eden's center. Silvery bolts jumped up the blade to the point and back down again, dancing around Tobias' hands. The light vanished in the blink of an eye. Tobias snapped the sword on his back and burst into a dash, closing the gap freakishly quick. Soon, Tobias had his foot rising swift and strong, aiming for the beast's maw once more.

*Akuko left the area as soon as he said 'Go.'

*She shifted from her weretiger form to a regular leopard and jogged to a stand of trees. Climbing the branches she had a Cat's eye view of the entire scene. She could see everything and was well out of harm's way but close enough if her aid was needed.*

*She watched cautiously although she looked rather lazy laying among the branches, her head resting on her paws. Her eyes were flitting back and forth between Tobias and Diablo, sensing untold amounts of energy between them, fearing a huge battle unlike she had ever witnessed.*

Tobias charged, Diablo charged.. The gap between the two closed quickly, their speed.... ungodly. Their determination to win unmatched, undaunted by any other. Tobias's leg came up, aimed towards the demon's mouth. It was quick, but his tail was ready. The man connected but with with the demon's tail, and in the same instance it attempted to coil around the leg. The grip was powerful, bone crushing and the demon brought his prey down into the ground, attempting to slam him. His claws followed behind, pointed out. The demon jabbed down where he would be, into the spot of his heart. The sword free of the Bastet's grasp, flew into the left hand of the demon He was whole now, complete and the sword seemed to beckon for Eden to be drawn, black flames dancing around the blade and in a flash it dispersed, outwards in a chaotic nova. The flame was different, corrupted and purely evil. The sword clouded.
