i went to deliver the letter for the girl in the bar. when i first started playing, i didn't worry about sleeping AT ALL!

I think the trick is to just pick a quest and go with it. it'll net you enough funding that you'll be able to kick start your way through the rest of the game.

It doesn't seem that hard to make money. I raided the schoolhouse and made a ton of bank selling bullshit I found in there and looted off raiders.

Yeah I played last night for about 3 hours and I've got over 800 caps now. Just ended up being the way I did it ... it had a slow start.

Beat it a few nights ago, and instantly started up a new character. There's so much to do and I'm in no way sick of this game! So far my favorite weapon is FISTO!!!!! For those who don't know it's a mechanical glove (there's one you can buy later I think it's called Power Fist) but I think FISTO is special because 1 it's more powerful and 2 every time I've gon into VACS to punch someone FISTO 1-shots them, and there's just something more satisfying about punching someone's head off in 1 hit. Take THAT you freaking Talon Mercs!

nice. i'll have to try that on my next character. i only use melee on the smaller baddies. dealing out wasteland justice, shishkebab style.

ii think you're thinking about the flamer. the shishkebab doesn't actually take ammo. or at least i don't think i've ever picked any up for it.

yeah i pretty much use it whenever melee is required. i didn't realize it was killing me, though. oops! the only time i didn't use it was when i found a chainsaw sword (the name of which i can't remember). i'd carry both, if i wasn't so worried about encumbrance all the time. god help me if i ever need to wear power armor.

i completed the family mission peacefully, so maybe that's why i never got the vampire edge you're talking about. it sounds interesting.

I thought about trying it both ways but there was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much ammo and weaponry + gear to resell to tempt me. I went from Good to Neutral just by looting the Family dry.
