It's the classic tale, my friends. You see this story told over and over again in TV and comics and books and in real life. And it so happens that the constant retelling is the ultimate testiment to the story's truth. However, I think that people make a lot more out of this kind of situation than they need to. It need not ruin a friendship at all. If anything, it can make a friendship stronger. It just all depends on how those who are in that situation react to it. If they make a big deal out of it then, yes, it can put a damper on any friendship, but if you just address it realistically then it's no big deal. I mean, if you tell a girl you like her and you two are good friends and she tells you she wants to stay friends it's obviously not about whether or not she likes you. If she didn't like you then she wouldn't be your friend! It's just that she's looking for something else in a guy, that's all. And once you have that out of your system then there's no more tension between the two of you and you can have a really great friendship. People just need to take it easy.
Also, I want to be Grover. He rocks.
