I'm all for smacking teenagers around, but I do think whatever was done in that video was excessive and unneccesary.
Am I surprised that the cop gets away completely free? Not at all. The sad truth is that cops always get away with bad things that they do because they are cops. And because they know that they can get away with these things, they start to do them more, and develop the attitude that they are above the law. On numerous occasions, I've seen police cars in NYC turn on their lights, run through a red light, then turn the lights off again. That's not fair. And it's the reason that I don't fully respect or trust cops. |
