What Chastising?
The main comment made was that I felt PSPortable was more enjoyable.
I still feel that way. It is a much more approachable game and it's much easier to pick up and play...
Doesn't mean I don't enjoy Monster Hunter as well.
I do still have the original Monster Hunter on PS2 and the original Monster Hunter Freedom on PSP. |

I feel that MHFU is more solo friendly then all the others with the introduction of the Felyne Comrade but still is meant to be a team/group based game. I've played all the other MH's and this is the only one I've actually made any progress in and I'm actually looking forward to the Wii version next year, although I'm a little miffed at some of the things I'm hearing. They're losing DS, HH, GL and Bows in favor of a jack-of-all-trades Axe weapon and the now Light, Medium and Heavy BG weps. I've also heard that you can only start out with SnS and GS's and after gathering the materials, the more "advanced" weapons are available. No LS's at the beginning....meh.
If I'm rambling, my sorries, I'm doped up on Dayquil.
So when we hunting? I just got to Kushala Daora...little rough the first time. |

PSU had NPCs that you could take with you... up to 3, so I'm not sure if I would agree that MH is MORE solo friendly.
Finished my solo run against the Khezu which was actually kinda easy this time around thanks to what I had already learned the first time I didn't beat him and some info that Dooters gave me. Stab in the face FTW! I LOVED seeing him do that AOE lightning attack this time around b/c as soon as he stopped... he wide open for a Stab, upward slash, jump back slash combo. Actually beat him only having to use 3 of my own potions. Not bad considering how badly he was kicking my ass the last few times.
John, Tina and I got to hit up some Adhoc part last night.
Took down the Kut-Ku a couple of times and took out the Khezu again too.
Our party venture against the Khezu didn't not yield any of the item I needed to make my new sword. Sadness. |

They all still need wireless online play, I haven't touched Phantasy Star Portable since about a fortnight after its EU launch for that reason alone, yeah its great if you have friends with PSP's or a PS3 with Ad-Hoc party, but I don't which means I can't really get the most out of two games I really want to invest alot of my time into but feel its ultimately pointless to do so.
I'm aware of X-Link Kai, but despite trying and trying to do so I haven't gotten it to work and I'm not really going to fork out for a WiFi dongle just for one or two PSP games, even though I have a wireless router anyway and can use my PSP to browse the internet anywhere in the house (except, oddly enough, the bedroom...) |

What I meant was that MHFU is more solo friendly than all the other MH games. Thats the reason I never played the other MH games was because the solo game was so annoying. |
