That was a good movie but I seemed to recall a book being written prior to it coming out so you'd think it'd follow it a least SOME!
In the book weren't the Ents all but happy to participate in the war? I seem to recall their council making a record descision in only 3 days. The movie pumped them up to be uncaring wusses when in fact their damn near Godlike in the book...~Cries~ Poor Ents...We knew ye well.
Aside from ignoring the book (Which was understandable thanks to the marvel that the book was rather dry) the film was great. |

I saw it for the second time yesterday, and it's just as good as the first.
The other complaint I have heard besides the one Az just stated was that Gandalf wasn't enough of a bad ass.
Appearently in the final battle at Helm's Deep, when he is riding down the hill... he waves his staff and all the people in the front row go flying in the book. |

Eh, I never saw Gandalf as much of a Bad-ass...More of the guiding hand behind bad-asses. Sure he does magic every now and again but he's mainly good at convincing people that they're wrong and he's right. |

Best thing you can do is rent the animated movies...The Hobbit was good the second movie mixes FOTR and TT and it sux cause it's a different director, but the Return of the King rules all ass. |
