BlackMage wandered around the manor rather board now that he had devised his plan while waiting for Zzyxx to return to explain it to him.

Zzyxx looked for Rayen to respond. WHen he didn't, Zzyxx shrugged and walked back to his manor.

"I shall write 5 tomes containing basic fire and ice elemental magic. You will choose 5 people to give these tomes too, they have a fortnight to grasp and be able to use this magics, those who do will get further lessions and the rest... well, thats for you to decide."

Rayne walked in, hearing the decision.

"I shall teach those who have innate gifts. And, I shall bind the magicians that do not pass the tome trials."

Those who got a taste of magic and were dismissed would certainly try to learn elsewhere, somewhere where a quality teacher could not be assured. They would have to be bound.

Zzyxx sat down and considered the plans that were laid before him. He didn't like the idea of bind the failed mages, but he couldn't deny the logic behind Rayne's statement.

Those seem like good plans. We'll use them, and i'll start constructing the school with my person servents. The townsfolk won't bother with a school at this moment and i don't have the power to force them to do so. Hopefully this will give them something to divert their attention with. Who knows, maybe someday we will be visited by the Archivist of Northwind... but i'm rambling. Suffice to say, i'll break ground as soon as possible and you may stay here as long as either of you like.

Zzyxx stood up and moved to a window where he gazed on the town. His arms were crossed behind his back as he pondered the fate of the town he had worked so hard to proctect. A town that, despite his best effort, had lost it's innocence.
