He never stood a chance.
The Ghosts of the past shackled the Demon stopping him inchs before contact. The metal draining from his body reverting him to his normal non-dragon form.

"Did I not tell you that you were powerless here? Those Shackles on your wrists will last a lifetime. It is your Punishment for what you have done. They have already begun their work, draining your power. You have stirred the rage of generations and now you will pay for your crimes. Only when the Fire of the Grey line has been extinguished will you be liberated of this curse."

Ultrawolf laughed and violently knocked out the Demon.
When the Demon would awake again he would find himself alone at the now destroyed Tavern where he had began his interference. He would look at his wrists and see that what had happened was no dream. The Grey Shackles round his wrists, evidence of what had occurred.

A Whisper in the wind, "Be Damned Kain, for now you are Powerless."

The demon was powerless, his memory was gone the whisper in the wind told him that must be his name, Kain. The demon would move on from here.
