It's time

[Azurel]

Rayne wasn't going to be as sneaky this time. His aura shot out into a shield with spikes of energy going into random directions.

[Tobias]

Tobias heads on through, dodging each spike with style as he banks left and curves right. He approaches Rayne with extreme speed and slices first left, then right

[Azurel]

The left swing breaks through the shield and the right cuts through Rayne's left arm as he jumps back, away from the charging warrior. He does a backflip, transforming into Azurel and as instantly as he lands on the ground, he jumps forward with a fist aimed at Tobias' gut.

[Tobias]

Tobias uses the continued momentum to swing the sword around and latch it back on his back, bringing his arms up to parry and block the attacking demon, gripping the fist and holding it, the force of the punch releaseing some excess energy that hits Tobias. He cringes in some minor pain, and holds the fist from hitting him, gripping it tightly

[Azurel]

Azurel smiled as he put his wings forward with Tobias' body inbetween the two tips of his wings. The tips began to glow black and then suddenly black lightning shot between them, crossing through Tobias.

[Tobias]

Feeling a bit fried, Tobias was used to a current passing through him...hell, it was always passing through him. Yet, this was dark lightning, so this was a little more painful. Clenching his teeth, he lets out a deafening yell, and pushes back against Azurel, releasing his own electric force from his body, countering the dark lightning

[Azurel]

Tobias countered effectively. Azurel's wings shot to his side from the shock of Tob's attack and Azurel himself was pushed back a few feet, getting zapped by small amounts of lightning. Yellow and black sparks were still charging the air around both fighters. Az's wings hung limp and scraped across the ground, they had been paralyzed. He smirked as they exploded into black smoke. The smoke encased Azurel and as the wind blew it away, it was apparent that he had transformed into Rayne. Their body was getting tired from the fight but Rayne's need for death kept his mind in proper fighting shape.

He looked up at Tobias, some of the black smoke was still coming off of him. His eyes began to radiate darkness as he rose his right hand to the sky, it also radiated shadow energy. Shadows from everything inside the arena as well as outside rose off of their respective places on the ground and converged into one ball in the sky. With each shadow added, the ball grew in size. Such a potent mass of shadow energy in one place began to tear small rips in the fabric of the dimensional walls between this and the void dimensions, through which you could see light being sucked into the everlasting nothingness. The only two shadows that remained where they were supposed to be were Rayne's and Tobias'. Rayne's lungs filled with one, large breath.

"Die."

Rayne threw his arm down, yet directed at Tobias. For a second, nothing happened. And then, a beam no bigger thicker than a baseball bat shot down at Tobias. In the instant after that, it grew to the thickness of a jacuzzi, completely covering what was going on to Tobias. Rocks and dust shot high into the air as the beam was also destroying the ground around him. The rocks and dust flew up, and then got sucked into the beam. The sky darkened, not from the amount of evil that was in the blast, but because the beam was sucking up sunlight as far as the eye could see.

The beam started to shrink. Sunlight was returning. As it shrunk, it was revealing the hole that it was carving into the earth, it was hundreds of meters deep. The beam and ball diminished into nothingness, the shadows of the objects they were stolen from were forever lost. Rayne had since dropped to the ground, unconcious, and therefore unable to see the result of his blast. The tears in the dimensional wall reduced to cracks, but were still visible. Had Tobias survived, he would win.

[Tobias]

Everything had gone black around him. In the vortex that he had entered, he saw light all around him, streaking past, as if it had been slowed so that he could see it. Then at a distance, he saw a deep distant black. It tore straight down into the fabrics of the spirits lying all around. It tore right down into his soul...it had routed its dark energies through and through his body.

Everything...but one. As the beam sought havoc all throughout Tobias' body, something remained. The crest on his neck.

The pain was intolerable...he coudl have considered himself dead...but something was strange...it was as if he was pulled into a deep dark realm. Everything was shadows. The pain had stopped, yet hte feeling that there was no ground underneath himself was apparent. He could see nothing, and he knew that was all that he could see...It was as if he was in a dream...no, a nightmare. He saw the deep expanse of the thing that he now knew had taken hold of so much...The Void.

Tobias just stared in awe...seeing things that he had never thought he could see. People that had been lost...spirits flowing around in the nothingness...cast in a purple haze that seemed to smell of a dank foul stentch. And then...it glowed...the crest around his neck...the one thing that he had found that had tied back into his old world...into his old beliefs...into the power that he had...

He burst into a silver blaze...the black all around him falling from all sides and becoming light. He felt his life blast back through...through the plane of pain that he had felt earlier...he had feeling again. Sure, it didnt feel good...but it was feeling, something that let him know that he was still alive. He saw the vortex again...the ground was back underneath him, as he lay in a crater...his blood all around him. He opened his eyes...he saw the sun shining onto his face. He smiled, and passed out.

OOC: How bout we call this one a tie?

Then Rayne jumps up and declares himself the winner.

ooc: just kidding! tie sounds good.
