Grand Final: Shinobishi VS Jolly Roger

This is it folks. We have taken sixteen candidate fighters. We have kicked out the eight weakest ones. We've said goodbye to four more who couldn't make it. And now, we've just shaved off two more, who could've done honor roll but simply didn't have what it takes.

We're down to two fighters. Only one can win the Metropolitan Star.

LET THE GRAND FINAL BEGIN!!!

"In the Red Square, representing Pow Ting School: Shinobishi."

Solid contender so far, seems very confidant for the championship title, you can tell that just by his proud posture.

"In the Blue Square, from Metro Gin Incorporated: Jolly Roger."

The fearsome pirate captain has all the intentions needed for that Star. His gaze has been fixed on the prize since this morning.

"Fighters, stand by..."

Shino obviously an imposing sight with his great endurance but Jolly Roger has some good dancing moves to escape the hits...
Well, one last time: the weapons! Shino, with his Duel Sabers Bianco & Nero, knows every skill there is.
As for Jolly Roger, he's using once again his fearsome Skull Smasher Sword, said to have once beaten Professor Awesome, the fighting expert from the kindgom of Telemundo.

"Three, two, one, FIGHT!"

The finals are on, Shino spins his sabers and is already on the offense, giving Jolly Roger a few parrying moves to get himself warmed up - the swordsman reaches AND DEALS THE FIRST HIT! Jolly hops away with a loss of 224 HP!

Shino steps forward and attempts a dangerous wide swing. The pirate easily evades and attempts to smash his sword down but Shino was anticipating the hit and had already moved away to safety. Jolly takes up his guard again...

[B]The two inch closer and farther from each other. Shino reaches for a quick stab, Jolly grabs the fighter's arm, tried to bring his sword around with his other hand but Shino slams it out of control with his other saber! Jolly spins away and releases his grip - we're back to square one!

Oh wait - Shino attempts a hit while Jolly's still staggered - AND IT HITS!!! 244 damage dealt, and so far the fighter hasn't lost a single health point! The crowd is starting to take bets in Shino's favor!

Jolly Roger is simply powerless at the constant sheer strength of his opponent's blows, and Shino goes for a wide upperswing, adding a whopping 323 damage to the combo!!

Jolly backs away, suddenly hits the side fence, can't move away now and he gets stabbed in the shoulder to lose a further 200 HP! This is looking really bad for him here!

Shino gives a good pull to his sword since it was stuck between two bone fragments, and though Jolly's in great pain, he uses his good arm to deliver a giant upperswing at Shino while he's busy recovering from the sword pull!! 345 damage dealt, but the pirate will have to do more to win this one!

Shino backs away as a second swing passes an inch away from his waist. He throws one of his sabers forward and accomplishes a Saber Boomerang, catching the pirate at point-blank range in the damaged shoulder for a blow of 181!

Jolly reaches for the flying saber - it slips out of his hand and comes back to Shino who stabs forth to keep his opponent at bay. Jolly knocks the saber out of his sight in frustration and gets back to the center of the plaza to symbolize a new section in this fight.

There's Shino walking over to his opponent and giving a quick and playful swing. Jolly steps back and lets the saber pass by, analyzing his opponent's movements...

Shino suddenly does an underhand swing of sorts - the saber leaves his hand, Jolly puts his sword down to parry but it's too late!! He's caught in the leg for a vicious 264 damage shot! Shino comes in and pulls the saber out without any ceremony, making his opponent scream in pain and anger!!

Jolly grows with rage and slams his sword down, almost creating an earthquake with his sheer force! Shino steps out of the way in the nick of time and pushes his rival away with his foot, sending Jolly rolling towards the side fence...

Jolly gets up, he comes back and swings so fast Shino is forced to parry this one! He puts both sabers together and does his best to stop the sword from coming down but Jolly is pumped by adrenaline...

Jolly gives a push forward and sends Shino staggering back and almost out of balance. Shino brings his sabers up once again; good thinking as the Skull Smasher goes down once again for another test of strength!

Shino has difficulty keeping up, the sword keeps on going down and down... Jolly leaps, the sword's suddenly leveled down and it goes through Shino's shoulder for 203 damage! Nice hit!

Shino pushes his opponent away and gets into a different, more counter-oriented guard. Jolly doesn't do anything yet, he's looking for an opening I think...

The pirate's changed his mind, he charges forth and leap-swings at his opponent, Shino had the same idea in mind AND BOTH COLLIDE INTO EACH OTHER!!! Jolly's sent bacl with 215 HP lost, Shino suffers 203 damage. Ouch for both of them!

Jolly is quick to get to his feet, and he strikes at Shino while he's still down! The swordsman rolls away with a loss of 223 HP, the pirate's slowly getting back into it...

Jolly attempts a third downswing, Shino parries and slides away, attempts a return but Jolly slips under his opponent, who passes right by!

Shino's getting a bit frustrated I think... He spins his sabers once, sends one into a Saber Boomerang but all Jolly has to do is duck under it.

The second saber suddenly comes up, Jolly's surprised but he still manages to hop over it, nice evade there!!

...And alas, the first saber comes up again, this one thrown straight forward at breathtaking speed, catching the pirate in the stomach for 282 damage!!! What a strategy!

...And Jolly Roger takes the saber out and hurls it back at Shino, who misses his catch and gets it right along his arm for a stunning return of 393 damage! The gap is closing slowly, but I think it's a bit too slowly for the pirate...

Both rivals charge forth and stab, AND THEY CATCH EACH OTHER!! Shino deals 272 damage and wins this one against Jolly who only managed to sneak in 147. Looking bad here, Jolly's just slipped under the 1000 HP mark!

Shino comboes the hit with a kick into the pirate's face, sending him flying up in the air! No reversal possible for Jolly here - and here we go for a further loss of 268 HP...

...And as I expected, Shino puts his sabers together and does an Astral Burner skill, the explosion juggling the pirate in midair with 199 damage, but as he comes down, so does the sword, and though Jolly falls right on his face, he doesn't do so without a good slice into Shino's side for 207!

Jolly gets up, he isn't through yet, and it's good, because Shino's just stabbed the ground where he was a second ago! The pirate gets back centerstage once again, determined to stay away from those treatcherous side fences...

Shino comes up, sensing the end near and attempting to have the final blow in his favor. Jolly expects that and goes for a Sandworm Slash, sending an explosion forward. Shino deviates from his course and ALMOST avoids it, taking in 157 damage, but a saber comes out of the smoke and strikes the pirate in the knee for a return of 317 AND CRITICAL CONDITION!!!

Jolly grabs the saber and holds on to it, really tight. The crowd is going wild in anticipation for the kill. Jolly has a lot of work ahead of him but he spits in front of his opponent to show he can do it. He gets into an unfamiliar double sword guard and patiently waits...

Shino gets into a single saber guard, something he isn't used to either... The two stay frozen in place like gunmen in a duel. One more will mean life or death for the both of them...

Seconds go on, slowly, very slowly... The crowd goes silent, Jolly Roger is like a statue, plams sweaty but looking calm and ready... Shino takes a deep breath... He tosses his saber at the pirate - Jolly attempts to catch it by reflex and all the blades are fumbled and fall to the ground! Shino jumps on the opportunity, grabs his opponent, AND SNAPS HIS HEAD OFF!!!

Shino wins with a comfortable 1710 HP remaining!

Great fight. Can't believe it though. Thought it would've been closer. Oh well.
