I had a hamster who would nearly do that herself (unless she filled her wheel with food and couldn't turn it). So strange.... |

My hamster was too fat to run like that. I could never get my hamster to exercise at all. I'd put him in the little ball and he'd just sit there and wait for the cat to bat him around. |

i remember when we used to have hampsters...those little things NEVER stopped running of their wheels. We thought that our first hampster died of a heart attack due to over-wheel runage.
Nevertheless, i think i counted 3 and a half complete spins in that wheel...that must be a record or something. |

I had a hamster that looks exactly like the one in the video, and he used his wheel a lot, but it wasn't the exact wheel in the video, and never really gained that much speed.
We used to put him in that little ball all the time, and he loved it! However, I kicked him a bunch of times (by accident, of course)!! And my roommate left the door opened once and I found my hamster in the ball in the hallway!

Hehe...I remember that one. I'll recreate the scene:
We walk up the stairs, into the hallway of the dorm. UP notices a small ball coming towards her from down the hall. She realizes it's Jonathan the hamster:
"UP, in panic: Jonathan!!! (the hamster)
UP, in anger: ERICA!!!! (the roommate)" |
