Thank you Bethesda, we can truely say that he's resting in the planes of Oblivion. Oh well, I can now morn the loss of my very first character in all the Elder Scroll series caused by save game corruption.

And I thought it'd happen to me with Daggerfall, as some people complained about such issue back then, hmmm I guess I ran out of luck? Or maybe the game just didn't like the fact that I tried to finish it without leveling, I don't know ;p

Moral of this story. Always keep more then 1 save file, cause this fun game has a tendency to happen to crash JUST as you save, making you lose your save game. Granted it doesn't happen often, in fact, it only happened once for me! But o how fun it is to lose that one character you have for the one time it will happen.
