My brother works with this girl...

She is a complete nut job.

She has had a thing for him for months, and he has told her on at least a couple of occassions that nothing was going to happen, he was not interested. They've only hung out 3 times, ever, and the later two times were with his friends because he didn't want to be alone with her!

Apparently she couldnt stand this whole thing, where she wasnt interested in him. So she started posting comments and writing blogs about how he only liked his girlfriend instead of her because his girlfriend was easy... when in fact they havent done anything, and she is a sweet heart to boot!

She made comments to him and her on blogs and such that he would never amount to anything because he was Irish, and that the Irish didnt donate anything to civilization or history (I wont even get started on this part...) and that since getting promoted from a fellow Barista, to a Shift Supervisor, he has been a stuck up, arrogant, ass hole. She even went so far as to say they offered her the position before they offered it to him, which when Michael asked his boss about, was a complete lie.

Now, this really didnt involve me until last week... My friends Eric and Garett, who are going out, try to make friends with every person who works at this Starbucks. They decided to go out with this girl to dinner. Apparently, all she did during the hour they were out was talk about my brother. She told them he was doing drugs, that he had led her on for months, that he was an arrogant bastard, and a ton of other things. I couldnt believe it!

I tried getting in touch with them about it, after reading some of the blogs and realizing this chick is unstable. I told them she wasnt cool with me, and they said she was still cool with them. This was an extreme betrayal for me, as I couldnt understand them not having my back when somebody is so blatantly insulting, slandering, harassing my brother. I called Eric over to talk one on one, and we did, and he recognized, at least as far as he told me, that she was insane, and he completely backed Michael up on whatever he decided to do. So me and him have no more problem.

I still have a problem with his boyfriend, Garett, unfortunately. Apparently he adores her, and when I asked if they had been caught up on what she had done and all that he basically said "Yeah, but shes still cool." And went on talking about her positively with my friend Lauren. Later that night at Starbucks, he kept criticizing the guy who was working (because he wouldn't give out free samples) and wishing this girl was working instead. I couldn't stand it.

I really don't like getting into a "It's either ME, or 'X'" situation, but I feel like thats what it is coming down to. I don't think anybody who calls himself my friend should be okay with somebody who slanders my brother the way she did. Whats more, after I wrote an entry on my friends' earlier actions, when they wouldn't back me up, they sent it to her, so now she knows how I feel about her. This makes me feel uncomfortable and uneasy about going into this store, and having to deal with the maniacal bitch.

I really don't know how to handle this, she is unwilling to admit that what she wrote was lies, and continually calls it her gift of truth. She acts like a victim about the entire situation and simply ignores anything prooving otherwise. As far as Garett goes, I feel like if I try to confront him about his friendship with her, he will get defensive, or blow me off. This after they just met her for the first time last tuesday. HOLY SHIT!

haha! I love that equation. I've decided that it seems like she's trying to put on some sort of power play or something, and that the best way to deal with it will be to ignore it completely. I know what the truth is, and whatever she may make up as her own seperate truth, I think I will have to let her live with.

I just wish I could explain to people I care about that her truth isn't exactly the "genuine article"

I've been in a similar situation. I was friends with these two girls who also were friends. Well, one day something happened and they weren't friends anymore. Then the "mud slinging" began and it seemed that all they wanted to do was stab each other in the back. When I was with one all they would do was talk about the other and there I was stuck in the middle. At first they were upset that I wasn't picking a side but I told them that reguardless of what drove the two of them apart I still liked each of them. I had to play the middle man for a while and eventually they stopped hating each other. They still don't like each other though.
Ultrawolf's right, you know the truth and your brother knows the truth so who cares what those other guys think? They can still be your friends. Just make it clear that you don't like this girl and you don't want to talk about her or anything when they're with you. You said yourself they already know she's full of shit but they still want to hang out with her.
My experience with crazy chicks is to back off and let them tell their lies. Eventually everyone else will get tired of hearing them too. And I have extensive experience with crazy chicks!
And what's this crap about the Irish not contributing anything to socioty? Lest we not forget the potato and it's many uses!
