Anyone heard anything about it? If not, shame on you. 
..Just kidding, but really, there has been a good bit of quiet hype about it. Some of you are probably familiar with Brian K. Vaughan (Y: The Last Man, Ex Machina) and, well, this is his new graphic novel. It's based off of the story of the four lions that escaped the Baghdad Zoo in 2003 and offers an interesting perspective on the whole idea of freedom. Snazzy art, intriguing setting, and pepperings of political commentary (Animal Farm, anyone?). There are some 10-page previews floating around (maybe only on the book's Myspace page) so if you're interested, go look.
It comes out on Sept. 13 (Wednesday). It looks extremely interesting...and the whole anthro-theme is a plus for me. :]

I was in Baghdad in 2003, I never saw any lions?
Seriously, It does look pretty good. I can't wait to get my grubby little meat-hooks on it! I've heard of it but I haven't seen anything yet. Thanks for the pics Akanari! |

The preview was on Newsarama.com for a while, is probably still on there if you went looking for it.
Brian K. Vaughn's a great writer, I will definitely trying to be picking this up |

I got there in April. I was on the north side of Baghdad I remember hearing about all the zoo animals but I never saw any of them. That's not saying much. Baghdad is a huge city! I did go by the zoo once. I think they'd pretty much rounded most of the animals up by then.
I checked the book out a little more. Definately a must-have! |
