File Corruptions - Ctrl+C--Ctrl+V

Apparently, Sonic Team 'fixed' the duping bug by adding a second save to the process of joining an online game. This second save command requires about 4 communications between the server and your host machine (Gamecube). If at any time you lose connection, a FSOD or the loss of connection dialogue will appear. In the event that either of these happens in the process of the second save, your file information will be corrupted.

File corruptions on the Gamecube it seems, are similar to those of the Dreamcast, but because of the nature of the save files, are a bit more destructive. File corruptions on the Dreamcast corrupted any PSO data on the memory card, effectively making your character unusable. Gamecube corruptions follow suit, but since there are multiple characters on each card, all characters become unusable.

This effectively fixes the online duping method in the following manner:
No one wants to play online.

Final scores:
No duping..................................... + 50 pts.
File corruption............................... -100 pts.
Sonic Team................................... -200 pts.
Loss of contact with friends............. -400 pts.
