My tattoo

I want to get a tattoo of a native american bear in turquoise on my upper left shoulder blade. I have a beautiful necklace of this and would love to get that.

I like this one, but I would just get the bear, and not all that crap around it.

I like this one because of the paw prints on it.

I'll have to upload a picture of my necklace, but some of you might have already seen it since I wear it all the time.

I was talking to Doot's brother who's a tattoo artist and he gave me some artistic pointers, but any thoughts?? Advice???

I think it'd look great just in black as a small tat on your hip, just a little bigger than the old fashioned tear drop tatoo's so it looks a little bit like a freckle

Well you've picked the spot and the design so you're good. Now all you need to decide on is the colors and over all design. Doot's bro is right, the smaller it is, the worse the detail, but that's only with multiple colors or high detail stuff. Also you have to remember the spot on which you pick will determine fade and first app sticking. Shoulder blade will hurt slightly but size being a factor if it's small you won't be down to long so it won't be bad.

Mine is on my chest, it took 2 hours, so by the end it felt like he was tattooing my neck. But the most important thing you can remember is the care post needle. Do exactly what he tells you too. Keep it out of the sun for a while, especially if it has light colors. Sun will destroy it quicker than anything. And don't freak if it fades a little in the first couple of weeks after, the ink just didn't set or the needle didn't penetrate deep enough to set the ink, you'll have to go in for a touch up, real quick, real painless.

Other than that, great design, keep it simple if it's gonna be small, if you go big, go bold, and get ready for the addiction. The first one always gets you hooked. Devil

I had a necklace of this bear when I was very young and wor it for quite a long time. I feel like its a good idea to get it, and the bear is a strong native american icon and I think its cute ^^ I also had a Kokpeli necklace I got about the same time that ment a lot to me:

also make sure that you dont soak it in water for at least a few days

i had my panther done on my shoulder blade and it didnt hurt but it tickled like hell!!but i have to admit they are addictive so now im counting the pennies until i can get another one done

I'm still too chicken to get one of my own...not to mention picking a design.
