Does anyone own rats?im getting a trio of rats in april and im wondering if anyone has any advice on them.im worried that they wont get along with Rachy who is two and a half or our dogs |

I don't know much about rats, except that I heard and/or read somewhere that they do actually make very good pets. They're very smart and, I believe, pretty docile. |

Rats are great pets. They donīt smell much, they are social, they eat everything and you can carry them with you everywere.
My family have been having rats as pets many times. They all have diffrent personallities so it is easy to like them.
And they are climbing creatures so there should be some leges in the cages that it can climb up on.
Pick it up often as with all pets.
Donīt make my sisters misstake and have the rat in the sleeve of your jacket. Then go to the post office to get a package.
The girl in the counter allmost screemed out loud. |

Chixie keeps telling me I have to spend alot of time with it, thing is I HATE Gerbils, and Rats just look like bigger Gerbils to me so yeah, I'm a bit "Do I have to?" |

aww...they're all pretty cute and cuddly.
Yea, they are supposedly really good pets to have...just don't get any pet snakes any time soon. That'll be mo-bad. |

I've never had mice as pets...my cats would eat them. Kind of a funny thing though, my fiance and I were visiting his mom a couple weekends ago when she swore she saw this big, huge rat.
She ended up catching one on one of those humane sticky pads and it was only as big as those little fake rabbit-fur cat toy mice.  I swear the body was barely 2 inches long! It must have been a baby...cute
When I lived w/ my mom, a family of field mice used to live in one of the bushes. We'd keep birdseed on a window-ledge(so the cat could "stalk" birds) and the mice would come up at night and stuff their little cheecks full of seeds. They were really cute. We did figure out later that they were rats...but still they were so cute w/ their little faces all stuffed. AND they stayed outside...never had any visits from them indoors 
I'm more of a cat/dog person...mice are cute but just not for me as a pet. |

Well, I never saw the actual packaging. But they are just these little pads you put out that are sticky enough to catch a small mouse. |
