Oy. But I suppose it's a sort of inevitable result when you put a free-floating object in someone's hand as a controller. Eventually, this was bound to happen. I'm just surprised that it's happening so often. |

I'm not convinced.
Has anybody seen the hole through which the string goes? Maybe there would be enough space to squeeze something the size of a shoelace through.
EDIT: Oh, and Nintendo published this very matter-of-fact instructions guide right here: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/wiiplay.jsp |

And the fact that they were drunk doesn't account for anything? Maybe if you're an asshole drunk then you shouldn't be playing videogames at all. I'm guessing this will now open the door for any drunk driver that kills someone to blame the car because it it so heavy.
Sorry, I don't drink and have a very low tolerance level for people who do assholic stuff while drinking.
A similar "WTF?" goes out to anyone that throws any controller out of anger. Yes, almost anything thrown hard enough will crack a TV screen/monitor. It is a shame that companies have to warn us not to do things you would normally never do (like that hot coffee is hot). As for the people who accidentally lose control then they actually should be thanking Nintendo. Why? Well obviously the Wii has emerged them so much into the game playing experience that they can't control their own body movements. I mean, have they ever lost a tennis racket while playing tennis? Have they ever lost a golf club while golfing? If not, then Nintendo has given them something that has taken them so far from the blase game playing experience and pushed them to a whole 'nother level of excitement/enjoyment.
Oh, and they're assholes too. |

The getting angry/drunk thing baffles me. But it also baffles me that people are retarded enough not to wear the strap or to throw the controller so hard it breaks the strap, and then blame Nintendo. The strap breaking has nothing to do with the quality--they are throwing it way too hard and being dumb enough not to hang on to the Wiimote.
As for the frequency of the accidents, it's going to happen if you don't wear the strap. Max and I always do, no matter what, but we had several friends over a few nights ago, we were all playing Wii Sports, and one of the guys never put the strap on at all while he was playing and he chucked the Wiimote at the wall. Nothing was damaged, luckily, but it was the first instance of someone not wearing the strap while playing our Wii and it still happened. So I'm not surprised that it happens so often.
I like what it says at the end--"Now go play!" X)! |

Well, I think it just points to the obvious....the non-thinkers are outbreeding the thinkers. Thinkers look around and go, no way I want to bring a baby into this crazy STUPID world. Non-thinkers i.e. "Dee Dee Dee's" just go, hey! Lets Fack! never considering the consequences, and well, you cant fix stupid. I threw the Wimote the first night while bowling the ONLY time I didn't put on the strap, so it's a permanent fixture now. I hate stupid people. I also dont like asshole drunks, even though I do love to drink and Wii Bowl! Fun Fun Fun! |
