The time is: 11:15 am. The day is not even half over yet but has already both put me in a bad mood and brought me to tears.

The day starts out around 8ish when we get these phonecalls and a knock on the door from our ffrind who stayed over...who had a flat tire in our driveway. No biggie, we have an auto pump, and needed to be up anyway.

I finally get on my way to work...know it will be a crappy day due to a nasty deadline so I stop @ Starbucks. Its a new girl. I order my usual, paint thinner and add a brownie for a later jolt. I get to the window where she asks me again what I wanted...she charges me. She comes back to tell me they are out of brownies and I could get X or Y instead...to make it simple and not trusting she could give a refund I took Y. Then had to ask her for my coffee. I get to the offie and open up my cup to see that its kinda foamy for a black coffee. It has milk...lots of milk to where it don't even taste like Starbucks Bleh!

Then, to cap off the rest of my wonderful, grumbly day... I log into LJ to do a quick readthrough. I find 2 posts from my friend. The first stating that she's had enough of her cat peeing on the floor...then the next saying that she's given said cat away to the "crazy old cat lady" who already has 10 cats. Now, most ppl would be wondering, why should I care? Its her cat...

But the thing is, I GAVE her that kitten! He's the baby brother of my cat. We found out after she took him to be fixed that he has Feline Leukemia and will only live a few years...so he just needs a loving family. PLUS, she didn't take him to the vet to see if there is something wrong w/ him for not using the litterbox. She just gave him away. I am both really pissed, and really hurt at the same time over this. I'd take him back if we could have another pet...but the HOA won't let us. Now I just have it in my mind that this poor cat is just going to die in this woman's home and never even be noticed again.

I hate to think what else the day holds...

EDIT to Above:

I just had to say it...Now this "Friend" of mine has blocked me from her LJ and blocked me on her IM.

I forgot to mention that yeah, I'm her kids god-mother...and she reacts like this to me.

*hug* I'm sorry you've had such a terrible day. That was really hurtful and inconsiderate of her to react that way. Maybe the cat woman will give the kitten the proper love that he needs.

Gaaaah! I swear, I'm bad mojo...

I'm the 8am knock on the door... my technogremlins are apparently still around... And I called it before I left like a frikkin oracle of the olden days... My calculator died on the last problem on my Thermo test.

I'm bad baaaaaaad mojo lately. Sad

I'm sorry the little grey fuzzball is in cat limbo... Wish I could do something to help. Confused

I logged back into LJ to find this...NOTE, she has turned OFF comments so once again, I can't defend my own comment.

Making this public for Paige and Albert,

Chip went to live with Ms Canabaugh down the street because he kept peeing and pooping on the floor MANY, MANY times. First thing I did was take him to the vet. I have tried putting multiple litter boxes around the house. But there are only so many places you can put them when you have 2 small kids running around. Sorry but Cat Poop with a nice glass of Cat Piss are NOT what's for dinner.

Also, contrary to your beliefs, I did not give him feline Leukemia. Sorry but I do not have syringes of the shit sitting around the house. He had that before he came to our home thank you very much. Thankfully Spaz has already been vaccinated.

I am not some evil person who has just dumped your precious cat. Infact, that is quite the opposite. But think of me what you will.

Ms Canabaugh is a very sweet woman. She has rescued numerous cats for the local rescue group. She is a foster parent for cats and gets a lot of visits from humane societies since they do drop rescue drop offs to her house. Her home is very clean. He will get the care he needs. The other cats there are also vaccinated against feline leukemia.

It is not like I had him put down or that I just drove up to an empty parking lot and just let him go. I thought I did the right and responsible thing here. In your mind, obviously, I did not.

Sorry, this was a health and sanitation issue. If you are going to hate me forever for it, fine. Do so. I wash my hands of this. I could have just not told you but meh....whatever.

And as childish as it may be, I took my post, and her posts and put it all on my LJ for all to see. I may not really give a flying doodie what her other friends think of me but I will not just walk away with them getting false information about what I actually said. I assume she deleted my comment that pissed her off so much.

Edit to last post (Double-post for clarity)

She left out SO much info in her 2 entires that got me so upset...like the fact that she had taken him to the vet...and this isn't some nut w/ 10 cats, she does good things.

If you want to be bogged down with the full story, search for prettykittymph on livejournal...its all there. In fact she's the only reason I keep a LJ...so I can keep up w/ my god-kids.

wow.. what a story. Poor kitty.. I mean, at least it's been clarified that the lady he's gone to live with is a good person and will take care of him.

but geez louise.. sounds like this friend of yours has some REAL issues. ... blocking people like crazy and deleting comments and making angry posts?

sounds to me like she's not really old enough to have children.

Scary thought...she's 27, has a 2-year-old and a 1-year-old, and wants to start on #3 in June/July.

I can't confirm whether she deleted my post in her LJ but I bet she did.

I'm losing a friend over a cat...how messed up is that? I love Chip, but still...

All this blocking crap reminds me of someone else who used to do that to me...I never would have expected it from her, she's always been so laid back before.

There is a edit button so you can add to post without a double post Wink Razz

*hugs* for bad days, I have had plenty recently

Anyways I can see both sides. Yeah it sucks, but that really would cause a sanitation issue. Not one that you want when you have 2 small kids. Taking care of a pet is a big responsibility, taking care of one with leukemia even more so. It is probably not what she thought she was signing on for when she got the kitten. It would be hard to deal with in any case, but with kids I don't know if I would have done differently myself.
As for your side I do think she should have at least consulted with you before hand.
Though fact of the matter was you gave her the cat, so it was hers to do with what she will. Unless you were willing to take the cat in and deal with the complications involved you really have no place to be angry with her from my point of view. If you are willing to maybe you can get the cat from this "crazy cat lady"

This honestly doesn't sound like a situation worth loosing a close friend over. Even if she is being childish, you can still act like an adult, and that may save your friendship

The big thing to it is a violation of trust. She promised me she'd take care of him and specifically NOT give him away . She would let us help if there were problems. I trusted her to keep her word and she didn't keep it.

Saturday she posts about him peeing outside the litterbox, Sunday, she gets rid of him...leaving a ton of gaps in the info.

If she had said something to us, we could have planned ahead and tried to help. We would have just needed some time to prepare for it.
