God this is depressing...

I hope everyone can get away from the danger soon. I stumbled across this today, and it just made me so sad. Does anyone else get tears when they hear about complete strangers dying in this war?

I have a few friends over there right now, and it scares the shyte out of me...and all I can do is pray, and hope that someone is there, and hears the prayers...sometimes I wonder though... Crying or Very sad

It saddens me too as well as my sister who was over there as a medic. Unofrtunatly I hate how the media has been portaying things and if we were to just pull out now Iraq would fall into complete civil war and our presense there would have been a waste.

Although I know the numbers are nothing compared to previous wars, seeing all those names and faces of soldiers who are just kids makes me sick to my stomach.

I'm at least thankful that my (future) brother in law came home after 2 tours over there. We make a point not to ask him what he went through over there.

It's really terrible. War is never good. It makes me sad as well to hear about all the people dying over there. I'm worried about my cousin and friends of others who i know are over there... Sad

What's also sad is how many Iraqi civilians are dying.... my cousin who's over there was telling me about how

*kind of graphic/gruesome*

he saw this little kid get run over and his stomach got ripped open and his organs just started coming out .. right in front of his family.

But yeah.. I dunno, though. I think we should get out of there ASAP. I don't think the media is completely incorrect since my cousin agrees with a lot of it...and he's there.

It is incredibly sad that this "war" wasn't needed yet so many people are suffering. Problem is, many join the army wanting to see action, some join just for a chance to maybe see the world, and while they've both got their way, its for completely the wrong reason.

On another note, Prince Harry is being sent into Iraq now, I admire that he's insisted on being treated as an equal to everyone else in his regiment, but you get the feeling they'll probably stick him as far away from any action as possible like they did with Prince Andrew during the Falkland War.

I saw that today, I think its incredibly brave and noble of him. He gained a lot of respect in my eyes when I read that, and I wish him and his men, along with everyone else already there, or going there, safety. I really hope all this can end soon, it really does break my heart. Sad

I don't know how many other PO'ers are military but, on behalf of the rest of them, thank you for the support.

I've been over there twice now and I don't mind talking about it. Usually if a person is normal and hasn't experienced anything really traumatic in their lives they have a hard time coping with what they experience over there. I really didn't have a hard time with it 'cause I'm a little weird anyway!

I do, however, severely dislike the way the media portrays everything that happens over there. In their eyes neither we, nor Pres. Bush can do anything right.

It's nice to see messages like this one that let us know that people see through the smoke-screen of propaganda that the media puts out.

I just admire those brave enough to go...I couldnt do it. I couldnt handle it, I would snap. I cant even hurt a bug...so I would have some issues lol. I have too much empathy as is, with people I dont even know, so being there, I jsut dont think I would be able to handle it all.

I jsut wish someone like me could do more, to show support, but for the troops, I really dont agree with, nor like Bush the least, and would rather show him as little support as possible at this point. I want him out of there to be honest, I cant wait for the next election. This is the frist time Iw ill be excited to vote someone new in >_<
