I've noticed a lot of PO'ers live in the south so I hope I'm not alone here.
I love NASCAR. I've been a fan of the M&M car since 2000. Through the ups and downs I've stuck by this team and I'm happy to say I couldn't be more pleased with the Daytona 500 outcome! To see a rookie like David Gilliland start at the pole, fall all the way back to 42nd place half way through the race and then fight his way back up to fourth with just 3 laps left to go, get in a wreck and still finish 8th. I can't say much more than... Man, what a race!
Did anyone else watch the race? If so, what did you think? |

I was at work. I also havent' watched much in recent years, as my favourite driver was The Intimidator himself, and he's gone to the racetrack in the sky 
I don't live in teh South, but I was born and (mostly) raised there.  I knew the number 3 car from the time I coudl talk. |

You really have to have a driver or a team to follow to get into NASCAR. I used to be the same way. I didn't see the point in watching cars turn left for three hours. But then I started following a team and it got more exciting. I still find it hard to sit and watch the whole race. I usually check in on it every once in a while to see how everyone is doing. Plus I don't want to miss an accident!
My kid would sit and watch an entire race when he was three. It's a miracle when you can get a three year old to sit down and shut up for three hours. He's seven now and he still loves the races. And now we have something to share.
We like watching things turn left.
Which explains why we hate watching Zoolander!  |

I totally missed Daytona. Most of my father's side of the family is into NASCAR, as is a good portion of my mother's. I never got into it mostly because I never have the time. I love me some car racing, though. |

I never got NASCAR, luckily its not that big over here. I do like British Touring Cars, and loved Formula 1 back in the days of Senna, Mansell, Prost and Patrese.
I've always been a bike-guy though and nothing gets more exciting (motorsports wise) than the British and the World Superbikes! |

Juan Pablo Montoya now drives in NASCAR. He finished 18th in the last race. Not bad for his first start! |

I thought he was going to Indy (?) Car, didnt really like him much in F1 came across as very arrogant and weren't bothered about the team. |
