So, life is balancing itself out right now. William is going to sleep at a decent hour, but so am I, so I don't get to talk to Link as much.
I just got a new job, so I get to leave Home Depot, but in order to work two weeks, and my new job, I will be working for 19 days in a row starting Monday.
My new job is just a few miles from daycare, but my car is now being a pain in the ASS. I need to get more oil for it, because it's low and making a weird clicking noise. I need to get the oil in before the "clicky clicky" turns to "cachunk cachunk *smoke* bam crash."
I dont' wanna sit through 120 hours of training
I have also determined that Elmo is Satan in puppet form. |

Wow! That was some quick work with finding a new job. Where did you move to?
Training's not so bad...just time-consuming.
Good luck with the new job! Keep us posted |

I haven't moved yet. I wont' be doing that until teh end of the year. Link is the one who has to find a job before we move.
AAAAAAAAAND my car STILL went kathunk kathunk, and is sitting in Winthrop, about 20-30 minutes away from my house. -.- It barely made it to training today and one of the other girls refused to let me drive it home with the noise it made.
I've gotta start a new thread with teh stupidity of my training class. |

I meant moving as in the new job...moving as in the home sense is torture. |

Ooooooh.... I now work for Fairpoint Communications. They originally had 11 call centers throughout the country, since they primarily serve rural areas. And now they're going to only two call centers, one here in Maine and the other in Washington. So we'll be handling most of the customers since most of them are in the Eastern half of the US.
Edit: I found otu today I'm not supposed to discuss certain things. eeep |

Interesting stuff...especially since I work for Cingular Wireless...soon to be AT&T Mobility...
Just be careful with any mergers or downsizing...if you are a temp, you'll be the first to go. |

we're actually being hired BECAUSE of the buying of Verizon. They have to get more employees at FairPoint for teh consolidation of the call centers, AND the new 1.6 million customers. |

Jaena, hang in there. It's going to be a tough 3 weeks, but you can handle it. And you'll be better for it when it's over.
It sounds like the job is a step in the right direction for you, so tough through it and things will get better.
I've been in the situation before. When I worked at IBM, they sent me to a 27 day class. it was 27 straight days including weekends... 12 hour days during the week, 8 on Sat, 6 on Sun. It was for us to get Microsoft Certified (Yay).
I got through it, got my certification... then never used it.
But I learned something... Microsoft's Certification system is bullshit just like there apps. |

I found out a while ago that Microsofts Certification system sucks, People still want you to have them, so I guess I'll have to suffer through them. |
