I was just on my way to the restroom at my office where the woman leaving the restroom was wearing what was quite obviously a corset...black fabric, complete with laces...but with thin shoulder straps.
This just really caught my attention being that I have heard plenty of ppl say that they wear these garments all the time, outside of events such as the GA Renaissance Festival...but I had never seen anyone wear one to the office before. I do see the random goth kid in the mall wearing one...
I just think this was an interesting concept. She was otherwise dressed in khakis and a white buttondown shirt with it, which downplayed it...
Just one of those random unexpected occurrences at the office that I thought I'd share. |

I wear my bodice on campus and around all over the place even when Ren. Fest isn't in town. You'd be surprised how amazingly comfortable they are.
You'd have to dress very carefully to wear it to work, though, I think. Make sure you dressed it up nicely. I usually go for a while blouse and black pants, wearing the black side of my bodice. This makes it look almost like a vest rather than a bodice and it usually brings about few if any remarks. |

I think women should all wear Corsets and garders to work all the time.
Yes, there are women who shouldn't be in them but that's a risk I'm willing to take. |

Corsets woudl be interesting...i think im my line of work though (The barista business) it would possibly get a bit uncomfortable.
But eh...I'll allow it! |

Lol! Some interesting commentary from this. I have a bodice, but it never really fit right and needs new and stronger lacings. But I'm still not sure I'd be comfortable wearing it out anywhere besides renfair. |

I would love to wear mine more, but I'm a bit too busty to run around with one on at work, would be way too much cleavage for people to handle
I think it can only be pulled off at work if you arent top heavy, so that it does look more like a vest than a corset, otherwise it could look quite sleazy. |

It's an interesting thought to have corset-wearing co-workers. Problem is, there would probably be a lot of guys giving lewd remarks, because corsets tend to enhance the figures of those that wear them. |

That only works if the people who wear them -have- figures to enhance. For people like me, it doesn't do a whole lot-- I just don't have enough for the corset/bodice to work with. |

Yeah, my figure is fuller than yours...but it doesn't help where I'd like it to Busty wench I am sadly not.
Edit: Of course, all this talk about them now is making me want to pull mine out and give it another try...just whith some long and sturdy shoelaces this time. Mine is laced with ribbon that's just too slick, and started to unravel. |

I suspect that corset-wearing would draw eyes and appreciation, regardless of figure. If it looks good on you, wear it, right? |
