Aww...you beat me to it.
The gameplay trailer is out now. OMG! I wasn't really a fan of Starcraft, but this looks pretty damn incredible.
The very end of the cinematic trailer, btw, is awesomely funny. |

In the quest to rule the stars I bought Galactic Civilization 3 today 
My question is why are the Marines convicts? Was there a mission is StarCraft and Brood Wars I missed? |

No, they've been convicts from the beginning - it's mentioned somewhere in the original SC manual. They're brainwashed and then reconverted into soldiers. |
