I'm having a crappy day...first day back after spending my weekend at home...sick.
We get an email yesterday...at 3:30...that a doc that we use, and my boss maintains, has been revamped and been moved to a different spot on our drive. And tells us we need to move our latest drafts for our own stuff out there with his..No problem there, I'll get it there when its ready to be reposted.
Then we all get a smartass email today saying how lonely his blahblah doc looks all by itself.
I play along since he thinks he's being cute and tells him when I'll have it up (which was seriously after I get 75 pages of RFP questions answered...and that I'm sick.
He responds back to me w/ a pic of a crying baby I'm still playing it off back with him but that really pisses me off! I'm sure I'm going overboard on this but this guy is both an idiot and an ass.
I'm sorry, but do you think that since we revolve around deadlines that it would be too much to ask for you to just tell us to have out crap loaded by X date and X time ?!
Anybody else have some Stooopid boss incidents? |

Hmmm lol. In my case I guess I used to be the stoopid boss hahaha but this one time when I used to work for target the old store manager decides he is gonna walk by the food court (where i was all by myself with a line that reached the doors) and ask me if i could take a minute to clean up some spilt pop corn. I (having the sweetest temper wink wink) reply to him that he needs to either bend down and pick it up himself or gimme at least a cpl of minutes to take care of the line of customers. Lol the dumbass got cursed out by the customers, so he calls a cart attendant and went and hid in his office. hahaha Score one for us smartasses |

Yeah...my boss went so far last night to where he apologized for overstepping...I'm kinda going on active ignore to that since what he emailed me back with required a little too much thought for my taste:
‘Hi, I’m Paige – and my boss is so mean! He checks in on me every single day, constantly gets involved in each of my projects for no reason, and makes me show up and sit at my desk for at least the eight daily hours of work that is expected of me – 5 days a week! He also gives me WAY more projects than he takes on himself! Can you believe that? Man, my job sucks…”
That inspired me more to stay late and load up my file to get him to leave me alone...
This was his attempt at an apology:
Hope I didn’t go too far with that last one – just kidding Paige and I appreciate everything you do.
Then once I send him an email telling him my doc is done...he keeps at it:
Hey – look at that! Nice work, and I’ve learned a new way to get quick results out of you…
Why don’t you go home and get some rest now? |

That might scare him...plus he's on the opposite coast...thankfully.
I did serve him up pretty well when he sent me the pic of the crying baby...
Me:
"That’s a great pic of you...you should get that framed!"
He's one who can dish it out but can't take it...being a balding, middle-aged man, I guess he took it seriously |

My VP is extremely compentent, hard working, and willing to stab you in the back and break the handle off.
He is also in such poor health that he has to go in to surgery every 6 weeks to "reboot" his heart since he does not want a pacemaker... |
