The blok is back! - It's true...

Hey guys! Some of you I know, some I don't, but to all a big "Hoooooowdy!" from across the pond in rainy old England. Since I'm not sure if I'm allowed to make my own topic (yeah, it's a bit selfish Rolleyes

) I'll have to make up for it by being very long-winded and entertaining in my introduction! You know so...I can justify...using up...forum space...and things. Okay okay, here's a joke (someone told me this one yesterday and had me in fits

):

There was an S.A.S. (Special air service - British special forces) training camp, and three men had reached the end of their course. There was only one challenge left to overcome - it was called the challenge of "patriotism".

The sergeant addressed the three recruits, saying "Which do you love more - your wife, or your country?" Naturally, given the name of the test, all three said "My country, sir!" The sergeant smiled. "Prove it", he said. "We've brought all three of your wives here today." He handed the first one a revolver, and pointed him through a door. Inside was his wife, sitting on a chair. He aimed the revolver at her, his hand began to tremble, and after a few seconds he lowered the gun and said "I can't do it."

The next man walked in, and found his wife sitting on a chair. He lifted the weapon, sweat pouring from his brow, steadied his hand, then broke into tears, dropping the gun on the floor and saying "I just can't do it."

The third man went in with the revolver to find his wife, like the others, seated on a chair. There was a gunshot, followed by several thudding noises. The soldier emerged from the room, and the sergeant said "What happened?"

"Well", said the third soldier, "The gun was filled with blanks, so I beat her to death with the chair."

I think that justifies this post nicely.

actually...I have heard that joke before... I like it. Though I would never tell it with my girlfriend around.

Good joke but we have one like that in America too.

A General tells a lieutenant to stay in a small hallway between the room where a conference is going on.

The General says, "If ANYONE comes through this door you are to open fire...Understood?"

The soldier replies, "Sir yes Sir!"

The General of course didn't believe him and asked, "What if the person coming through the door was your mother what is the first thing you'd feel going through you?"

The soldier replied, "Recoil sir!"
