Ok, yeah.
This new album was released in 2006, and I didn't pay much attention, I thought it was just another "Greatest Hits" album, but alas!
It's twenty-six Beatles songs (some combined, and messed with) remastered and clarified by the original producer and his son.
There is all sorts of new stuff on the album as all the Abbey Road studio recordings were open to this album's production (lots of unreleased versions of songs). It was created for the main purpose of being the soundtrack for Cirque de Soleil's tribute to the Beatles, "LOVE."
So, I'm floored by it. The album begins with "Because" and sounds absolutely amazing. Yes, everything on the album is done by the Beatles except some strings added to "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" by the Producer (George Martin). It makes the Beatles not a thing of the past, but a new sound. |

I'm a fan of the Beatles. They always had a fresh sound with each album and made generation transitions an art form. I'll pick this one up! Thanks for the review. |
