Yup, they remade it. K.I.T.T is now a 2008 Shelby GT500 KR edition Ford Mustang. Watched an hour of the 2hr "movie" so far. Its not all bad. The Hoff makes a special appearance, I'll let you figure out as who.

Val Kilmer was not originally intended to be the voice. A actor named Will Arnett was, but it turned out that he was at one time a spokesman for Pontiac GMC. With K.I.T.T. now being a Ford because the producers of this show are traitors, GMC was none too pleased. They dropped him from the project and hired on Val Kilmer to do the voice over. This all went down last week though, I believe. They might have just forgot to change the credits in the scramble. |

I was a huge knight rider fan when I was a kid. A little reluctant about the movie, but I figured I'd give it a chance. I dont too much like the fact KITT isnt a Trans AM anymore, but I suppose if they were going to switch him to anything, the Shelby was a damn good choice. I havent seen anything about it, but I am assuming this is going to be a new prime time series on NBC? If so, I'll give it shot, but my expectations are pretty low. |
