Design a logo for bitparade!

This is something I really need help with.

Bitparade's going to have a major overhaul this year, and the current logo doesn't really fit in with our ideas.

What I need is a simple logo, one that can be used for bitparade's banner, but it also needs to be able to be altered to reflect our upcoming podcast site "bitparadio" and be transformed to work as a logo for another site thats going to be a part of an overall bitparade network, the last site will be called Game Britain and will mainly be focused on the british games industry.

ignore the pic of hyrule market, thats going to be a random image from a game, but I want to draw your interest to the banner up the side saying bitparade. Thats where the logo will go and it will be placed in that manner.

I'd also like for their to be affiliate buttons made that fit in with the overall look of the logo, if thats not asking too much.

I'd do all of this myself normally, but I've not got a working copy of Photoshop anymore and can't really get anything to work properly either on paper as an idea or in a free alternative to photoshop so all help is appreciated!!

Lastly, I'd like a similar colour scheme to the original logo to be used, but feel free to chop and change how those colours appear, how strong they are etc etc
