For most of you that know me personally (and I have to say, its not very many), you would know that I don't get mad often.

In fact, at all really.

Well, many people have asked me at many an AWA what it was like when Tobias *explodes*. Well, thankfully none of you live around here, cause it happened saturday night.

I must say, though, that it has lifted the weight off of my shoulders and let me think very clearly for the past several days. And when I start thinking clearly, I start thinking of everything in the world, and I've recently realized that I've become Jaded to the world. Maybe I've been overly optimistic, but I just feel like the world is too predictable now for me. People use people, and others think life is like a movie. Too many people neglect the ideologies of Forrest Gump and truly appreciate the fact that they "never know what they're gonna get."

Maybe It's because I think too hard about this stuff. Maybe I invest too much of myself in other matters not pertaining to me. But hell, I wish more people could see things from my angle.

Now, i know that this thread will drop down low and recede into the dark corner of PO-land's soap-box for something more intriguing, but take a moment to hear me out. I don't really ask much of you guys, and maybe its because i really wish to see different shapes instead of just the same, repeating line that repeats itself however many billion times it does.

~That is all.

*pat pat* it's ok.

''Вера в неуловимой сработанности разлада''

*cough*

right, I mean,

''Faith in the elusive (read: subtle) harmony of the disorder (read: chaos)''

That's my motto in life.

I remind myself of where I've placed my faith when I end up thinking too much.. reminding myself, like Forest, that life is like a box of chocolate. Sometimes you'll fall on one kind, sometimes the other, and other times you'll be like ''what the hell, I've picked that type 3 times already (which makes me think of what you're going through right now, correct me if I'm wrong).. gah, whatever!''.

Sure does help accepting what is beyond our control!

Another way of saying it could be...

''Let it be, let it beee, let it bee o let it beeeeeee'' and I forgot the rest of the lyrics, but that's pretty much the gist of it.

Well, if more people need creative chaos in their lives, there's always actively taking up the pursuit of Discordianism. Jar some people subtly and see what happens.

Life truely is random, we can't change the inevitable. We can only tweak the path we take.

And as another thing Forrest Gump said..."Shit Happens" which is SO true!

I'm a firm believer in fate. It will take over and guide you where you need to be. I think it takes you to a point and then allows you to choose a path and even with the choices that you make, you will end up where you are supposed to be.

Although sometimes you do have to watch out for Murphy's Law. However, if you get through the tough stuff, you will end up better in the end. Wink

Fate tends to pick some shitty and hurtful paths for me, I dont like it really.

But sadly, as much as some things hurt, I still try to believe that everything happens for a reason, though even I have been doubting that a lot as I contemplate my life lately.

Only they go in extremly diverging approaches and beliefs that aren't mine (and I don't suggest them to anyone) which, despite the similarities based on what was written above, makes Discordianism completely different; I don't believe chaos, discord, and dissent are valid and desirable qualities like they do. I only admit their existence as part of a greater order. Sometimes we have control over it, sometimes we don't, and where we're sent clashing because of this chaos - this ''greater order'' - we may be allowed to find our way elsewhere, stronger then we could ever imagine before, or even if we're not stronger, just changed.

Ultimate fatalism would say ''nothing can be changed, EVER, shit's bound to happen, it will happen, or if it isn't, it won't happen'' and ultimate pessimism could argue that in the end, all will have negative impacts on your life. I, unlike them, attempt to see what's good from what IS. Even in death, there may be positive impacts. We tend to see what we want to see, for what IS is both negative and positive, it is harder sometimes to see where the positive may be in certain situations, or it is just that on the moment, the positive aspects have yet to show up. One of my favorite motivational poster from despair.com reads as follow:

Quote:
MISTAKES
''It Could Be that the Purpose of Your Life Is
Only to Serve as a Warning to Others.

And it shows a cargo ship partially sunk in the ocean. With a quite beautiful sunset in the back. Pretty picture, really.

As far as fate goes, I tend to believe life is kind of like a pinball machine. I wrote the ''pinball machine theorem'' a while back while discussing about fate on another forum:

Quote:
I have faith in chaos ... no pun intended.

I believe fate can indeed put you in front of the crossroad, but also make you drift against your will in the opposite direction you had in mind.

In a very simplified metaphor, fate can be something like a pinball machine. You do have a control over yourself (the ball) using all the elements you have at your disposal (the flippers) but all the rest is beyond your control, or at least, it cannot be directly controlled by you (everything else in the pinball machine). And we all know that even if we flip the flippers as hard as we can, when we've been pushed right in between them, no matter how hard with try, it won't save us from falling down. Trying harder and attempting to evade our fate (tilting the machine) can save us ... but it's only a matter of time before we eventually die, and one must be careful because tilting the machine too much is a double edged knife, it's like pushing your body to the limits. If you go too far, your machine will die and you'll witness helplessly, as your flippers won't obey your command, the fall of the ball slowly descending into the abyss.

Life deals you lemons...and I like sour lemonade!

In all honesty, many elements of my life have really sucked starting from when I was a baby and going on from there. Some parts of it still suck today.../rant

When life gives you lemons, find the guy who life gave vodka and have a party.
