Ridiculous and reminds me of the gangs that follow football teams in this country just to look for fights (Football Factory is a bit of a glamourisation of the sort of stuff they actually do do!). It got so bad a few years ago the English national team was looking at getting banned from any international competition, in the eighties any British club was banned from European club competitions because Liverpool fans were involved in a few tussles with various Italien fans (The Italiens didn't get banned however) and in 2000 some Galatasary (Turkish team) fans killed 2 Leeds United fans by stabbing during riots, although Turkish teams weren't banned either.
Violence in sport is absolutely ridiculous and some people get too far involved with the team they state that they love but they just damage the name of that team... |

Wow. I always thought the Red Sox Fans were worse. Now I'm just appalled. Im a yankees fan, but hell, NOONE should ever go that far because of friggen baseball...or any sport for that matter.

A few of the schools up in Maine have done away with the sports programs and are doing wonderfully as far as academics now. |

As well they should be...schools are places of education. It's unfortunate that so much emphasis gets put towards sports programs nowadays. I particularly want to see college sports done away with. It's unfair that hard working students' tuition goes towards giving free rides to athletes. |
