So with Code Atom not on my mind right now other ideas have been flooding my brain. Like this one. I started it back in high school but it actuall sounds good now that I have some maturity on my side. Tell me what you think.
*This one is Christian-based. Not usually my forte but it was a great start! Here is the back-story.
The pig-farmer that Jesus Christ cast demons out of in one of the Gospels is the main character. He said his name "is Legion for we are many." But after Christ exorcized him he was cured and remembered his real name, Ehud (Hebrew, obviously). He ran home to tell his father but his father just beat him for losing all of their pigs. The boy runs away to become one of Jesus' disciples but just misses him at every turn until he finds out that Jesus was to be crucified. The boy gets to Golgotha as soon as he can but only finds the empty cross. He asks the nearby centurion about Jesus. The centurion mocks him telling him "Here's what's left of your Messiah." and drops the three nails that held Jesus on his cross into the boys hands. The boy is overwhelmed and runs as fast and as far away as he can. He walks on for a long indefinite time until he comes to a small hut run by a blind blacksmith (wasn't always blind). Even though he's a miserable old man, bitter for losing his eyesight and lucrative position as a weaponsmith in the Roman Empire, he takes the boy in and cares for him. Eventually when the boy's grief subsists and they gain some friendship, they talk about his story and Ehud shows the blind man the nails. Nassir (the blacksmith) is astonished! The nails are radiating a bright white light and upon closer inspection Nassir sees that the light is shining through words that he can see and read! The words are a proclamation of the boy's destiny, he has been chosen by the Heavenly Host to perform a great task for Heaven. Nassir knows at once what he is to do and throws the nails into his furnace. Ehud freaks out screaming about how the blood on those nails healed the lepers to which Nassir responds calmly "Be calm. You are no leper and spirit suffers no flame." Over the next month Nassir is silent as he starts to create his greatest work ever, a simple small blade which he gives to Ehud. As Ehud touches the blade Nassir says "As Christ freed you from your torment so you shall do for others until the day your heart stops. This blade is God's grace and he has intended it for you." Nassir leaves the room as Ehud stands there speechless. When Ehud snaps out of it he runs after Nassir only to find that he has passed away with a gentle smile on his face. So Ehud leaves quietly to start on his task "until the day his heart stops" but he finds that it never does. He is immortal.
Notes:
*I was thinking the opening line would be "My name is Ehud. But I have not gone by it for almost 2,000 years."
*Hitler was searching for The Spear Of Destiny (the spear that pierced Jesus' side) during World War 2 and Ehud could have been the one who found it first, keeping it from the Nazis. Ehud could find out that the spear was also forged by Nassir.
*He could have been the cause of The Spanish Inquisition, teaching what he knew from talking to other people that met Jesus and what he's learned from his time in introspection and meditation. As his teachings spread the Spanish Catholic Church declares him a heretic and vows to stop him and his teachings "at all costs." |

That definitely piqued my interest! I think the spear of destiny plot would be great, lots of Nazis and action, but also makes you think about religion. When can we read more? |
