UAB Chamber Choir to perform Video Games LIVE

I know I dont post as much as i should, but im still here

Anyway, Thats right folks My choir will be performing Video games live with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra.

Final Song list. (barring the orchestra changing anything)
songs Denoted with (CHOIR) are ones that the choir takes part in. (duh :p)

1) Classic arcade medley (CHOIR) - Stuff like pong, space invaders, centipede. We really shouldn't be involved here, we stand up at the end and all shout Hey!

2) Metal Gear Solid #2 (CHOIR)- Dont really play MGS so i dont know which one this is, only thing we do is Oohs and Ahs

3) God of War: Revenge and Redemtion (CHOIR) - This is a cool song

4) Space invaders - an "interactive" segment

5) (Sid Meyer's)Civilization IV: Baba Yetu (CHOIR) - (not sure if the actual title is baba yetu, but thats in the main corus and everyone seems to call it that) This is probably one of the coolest we are doing

6) Final Fantasy Piano Solo performed by Lee Ann Leung - I don't really know who this is or why they wasted a Final fantasy song on her...

7) Metroid - Not sure which game, orchestra only

Zelda - probably a medley, no choir (ITS LINK!!! HE COME TO TOWN!!! HE COME TO SAVE!! THE PRINCESS ZELDA!! )

9)Kingdom hearts - no choir here either, hopefully not simple and clean, because ill kill them when we dont get to sing it....

10) Sonic (CHOIR) - also a medley, including green hill zone 01 only thing the choir does in this one is sing SE-GA like when you tun it on

11) Warcraft (CHOIR) - This one is freaking awesome as well, its a medly including Warcraft 3 Act 2, the WOW(original) Cinematic , WC3 Act 6, and WOW call to arms, Its gonna be incredible

12) Starcraft II: Revenge of the Gnomes (CHOIR) - song from a game not out yet, preaty sweet

13) Mario - only orchestral

14) Mario Piano Solo performed by Lee Ann Leung - she must be important or something...

15) Sweet emotion, Guitar hero style (CHOIR) - Another Interactive Segment

16) Halo Suit (CHOIR) - *passes out drooling on the floor*

17) One Winged Angel (CHOIR) - *has a gamergasam* And this one will have some cosplayers involved, though i swear if Yuna, Riona or any other character from a game OTHER than FF7 walks onto the stage im going too throw my music at them and leave...

1 Castlevania Rock - this should be a cool one

I listened to "Master Exploder" in Eye of the Storm once with my pew pew hunter. It was fitting.

Songlist is still not finalized, (I think there are more than 20 titles the ASO will choose from) but we dont want to start on peices we wont be using, As that would just waste our limited practice time.

Mmm... playing FF music while in battle grounds, ill have to try it some time.

Anyways, that is very much going to be a geekgasm concert. It'll be interesting to see how people react to such beautiful music coming from, gasp, VIDEOGAMES.

Looks like a pretty good setlist, and it's good to see them involving the choir a lot more in those pieces. The VGL that I went to didn't have near as much involvement for the choir, more like the way Play! is.

Still, go have a blast, man!
