Regarding Midway's bankruptcy and possible auction...Warner Bros was the only company to post a bid.
"No other bids came in before the deadline, so there's obviously not going to be an auction," Midway spokesman Geoff Mogilner told GameSpot. "
Amazing that no other company threw in even a token bid so Warner Bros waltz in and scoops up the treasures.
Hell, we coulda put together a couple thousand for a bid and then PO coulda owned MK. Razer vs Scorpion...FINISH HIM!!! |

Heard Midway Newcastle (developers of the Wheelman I believe) have got a new game in the works that the studio (and not Midway the company) holds the license for, could be interesting to see what comes from all of this |

Can you blame anyone for passing this up though? The only license that they've had a lot of success with is MK and even that's gone to the crapper. Hopefully if WB does get Midway's Licenses they can revitalize some of them to make some use of what they're getting.
But, just because WB was the only company to make a bid, doesn't necessarily mean WB will go through with it. |

Well WB isn't even bidding on everything. Since they get to pick and choose I'm sure they'll go through with it on some level. It's just a matter of whether or not they pick up the game(s) you like.
I wouldn't mind a proper MK sequel (Mortal Kombat 2.5, maybe) and a new NBA Jam.
But if Warner buys it doesn't that mean an automatic MK vs DCU sequel??? LOL |

The game was called Necessary Force and it looks like WB didn't pick it up.
Looks as if the game will go the way of the dodo.
