No need to write much. Here's the shot from the Walmart circular which goes into effect August 30th.
Word is that M$ is trying to clear out every non-Jasper board they have left so they're moving all existing equipment asap. Phasing out the Pro model is just a side effect as they also want to drop to just 2 different SKUs to lessen the confusion. And yes, as reported already, they will be taking the HDMI cable out of the package. Hopefully they'll have a standard HDMI port and not some specific-shaped Microsoft thing.
I'll still be waiting til Champions Online drops next year. |

They are taking out the Component cables too from what I heard...
That's a $40 part from MS if you needed.

The HDMI port is there so I'm good. My TV has three HDMI ports so it'll fit nicely. Right now they're all taken up but I plan on hooking up the surround sound by the time I get the 360. I've been looking at the box for the last two months and the reciever is just getting dusty so I guess I'd better get on to doing it.
Ahhh...laziness will be the death of me. |
