Life altering, but in a good way

So I finally gots promoted. And it only took nine years! For those that don't know, I'm in the army and I finally got accepted to go from Sergeant to Warrant Officer.

If you don't know what a warrant officer is look it up on Wikipedia. They do a much better job explaining it that I could. And don't feel bad, I didn't know what one was either until last year!

The bummer side, like any promotion, is that I'll have a lot more responsibility. The yippie side is that I'll get to basically do the same job I'm doing now but get paid a lot more for it, and there's a good chance I might not get deployed for a little while. Yay!

As you can see, the yippies far outweigh the bummers.

I just finished the intro course in Alabama and now I'm going to spend the next few months in another school in Maryland so they can re-teach me how to do my job. Way to go redundancy!

Anywho, I just felt like blurbing to the world that I finally got noticed by "the Man" and in a good way this time!

Oh, P.S., Akila and I are moving back to the states from Europe at the end of the summer. We gots our fingers crossed that we'll be able to make it to AWA this year!
