This phone is brilliant, has customizable power settings to turn components off at differing percentages, do I wish the battery was never ending? Of course, but I'm more than happy with battery performance.
The display is beautiful, the resolution is very, very close to I phone retina display, 1080p content looks great, and I'm very impressed with some features the 3D camcorder is fantastic, you will get better stills with it than the camera function, but in good light the 3D is very effective.
Start up boot time is VASTLY improved over the Evo, around 8 secs to home screen. The Google integration is what makes it so great, using Google Chrome to phone is a real saver, and having your websearch history available is awesome too. I dint think there is a single phone that can run at this level.

I've heard a lot of good things about this phone.

My wife's phone is crap and I actually can get a new phone right now and give her my Epic if I wanted. Just waiting to see what kind of stuff comes out.

Evo 4G is definitely on my watch list... but I'm curious to see what Samsung has in store for us.

Samsung doesn't support their phones. They always say there will be upgrades and such, and there never is. The Evo 4G got 2 updates (started stock Eclair>Froyo>Gingerbread.
The Evo 3D far outclasses the Evo 4G.

Yeah I'm well aware.

I had a Samsung Moment which was great at first and degraded over time. My wife uses it now. I just hacked it with custom Froyo firmware so it's doing much better now.

I have the Epic which I love. The screen is unmatched by any other Android phone, but if I were stock, I would still be on Froyo. They say Gingerbread is coming, but who knows when.

Shouldn't be hard for them to get it on there since they already have Gingerbread for the Nexus S, should just be a matter of dropping their interface on top and being done with it. We'll see I guess.

The phone I've been looking at next is actually the Motorola Photon. So I may be looking into that.

I'm shying away from HTC right now b/c they fell in the trap that Microsoft set for them and they give MS money every time they sell an Android phone due to all the bogus lawsuits that MS has filed against Google and Android. But I'm not ruling them out.

It's kinda sad. MS has made more money off the selling of Android phones than it has its own platform.
