Haven't read the Wheel of Time books. Maybe Lews has?

I've read Wrinkle in Time before, but never The Wheel of Time. Should I rent it when I go to the library in the next day or two? What are they about? At Lews suggestion, I think I'm going to go check out The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy in the next couple of days...whenever the library is open again.

Aren't they a big series, based in a sort of generic-fantasy type realm? I have a faint recollection of reading one, and I have a few friends who talk about it. A lot. But I also could be mixing it up with some other "Wheel".

yeah, that sounds about right. except that his whole concept of magic is completely different. also, remember, he's a historian, so most of his minor facts are going to be right. just in case that matters...
