I was at a friends the other day, and she had this concert DVD thing of this guy. it was INSANE.
He had some songs with that wierd drama lighting, and occasionally it would snow for no reason (it was indoors, by the way). Furthermore, in one song there were a horde of giant stuffed animal people dancing, which got followed up by about 8 middle-aged asian men in tutu's. BEST SHOW EVER!
I'm making it my new mission in life to go to one of these concerts if at all possible.
Anyone heard of this guy? Its all in japanese, by the way.

Dude! Gackt is one of my musical gods 
I've got all three of his CDs so far, two concerts on tape, and bunches of random downloaded singles.
He prettymuch defines what rock lost in the US: Great singing, and creative yet cool compositions with style.
...And the middle-aged tutu dancers are a plus too. |

Ay, I know who he is! *waves arms frantically* He was one of my first Japanese artists who were relatively non-anime related. I have no cds or dvds by him, but he's *SO GOOD*. I have pictures of him on my wall ^o^
The dancing cats... Aye.... that's... U+K live, or something, right? ^.^; I don't keep up with his solo career much. I'm too stuck to the old visual kei days *_*
Why hasn't Katana posted here yet!? >_>; she could go on and on about him. Mana, too....

Interesting fact (or rumor, I might need to check again or something o_O;; ) aboot the name for U+K... it's the initials for Ukyou Kami, the drummer of the visual kei band he was once in who died of a brain aneurism(sp?) back in 1998. They were really good friends so it's really sad that he died.... ._.
Buuuut anywh00t...Since this whole topic IS aboot Gackt, I MUST ask...
