Against Pot - What can it do...

For all of you people who smoke pot and/or have friends who smoke it.

I must say this...

Most people had let to belive that pot is not dangerous or addictive. In my opinion, pot is 1 of the most dangerous gate drugs ever, not to mention that damages your brain and stuff.

Personal experience... In the end, friendship were broken, a friend was lost (disowned ) and some guy's credit was damaged.

I have, or had this friend, (hes not dead, just disowned), who has a friend that smokes pot. How my friend started smoking ? Well, this friend he has, if you can call him that, called him everytime he didnt have money to buy shyt for himself and used his money to buy the drug. Of course, he had to share it since it was my friend's money. And so it started. Soon after that, he would smoke every week. Sometimes he would mix pot with advil/tylenol PM making him have a mega hangover and well, for those of you who dont know, Pot is a tranquilizer and so its the PM medicine, you can get into a huge depression or pass out cuz of the so many tranquilizer agents in the subtances.

One time, my friend had a problem with a girl, and mad at her he went and bought cocaine. He started snorting taht crap for a few. He got mad at me for telling him he was getting addicted to that crap and stopped talking to me.

I go to a lil' pleasant trip to Florida in December. While I was there, one of my other friends, which plays with me in a band,(yes I have a band), called me up to Fl and told me that my friend called him to ask him if he could get him Zanax. He said he was addicted and he didnt know who else to turn to. My friend that plays in the band, who his day job is a pharmascist technician, told him that couldnt get him the pills cuz it can cause his job. So he told him, no. Why did he wanted the pills ? I have no idea. Cuz those kind of pills without supervision are as addictive as any other drug.

When I got back from my trip, I see my friend. He's skinnier and all messed up. He rarely makes sense and cant sleep. When I saw his arms, I could see the needle marks on them.
He is now a herroin addict. His body is messedup, he cant sleep and hes paranoic.

Yesterday he calls my mobile, and I wonder why it didnt ring, but he left me a voicemail. He said:

"Hey Rick, its me, .... Im just telling you to not come by to my house for the next week, well maybe months... 'Cuz Im going to a rehab home. So tell your other friend too. Bye..."

He finally admited he was addicted. Now I just hope he does have the strenght to go through it. Im behind him a 100%

I just know that all of this wouldnt happen if he wouldve listen to me in the beginning. It all started with weed, and look how it ended...

pot is a very bad thing, and im gald that u dont like it either Aiman, for it can kill you. It is the one thing that leads into the vast world of drugs and such.

Pot is horrible. But then again, I'm very anti-drug. When I was little kid, I used to always find my the stuff all over my house, but I was far too young to know what it was, so I always just gave it to Scott or Rhea (my parents) when they asked for it. Getting older, i'd find their leftovers in candles and corners and ashtrays and such, but Rhea (Scott had left us by this time) always pushed it off on my uncle (also called Scott) and My aunt Christina. So I believed her, and went about life. One day, my grandparents found a little bag of it in their living room after my mom had spent the night and dropped me off at their place for the week. They asked Rhea who's it was. And guess who got the blame this time. You betcha. Me. Well, I insisted that it wasn't mine, so they got me tested, and of course, it proved that it wasn't mine...Now, who's was it? Bing. Rhea's. Yeah yeah, she said it was my uncle's, and I believed her again. Anyway, I always smelled it around my house...and when my Rhea divorced Scott, the smell stopped, and I stopped finding it. When she divorced my step-dad, Osmin. (He's El Salvadorian... ) it stopped again. But when she met Richard, who's she's still with, and who I hate, I find it. ^^;; Yeah, Rhea decides to date guys who give her pot. ...Sigh. Oh well. You could always tell it wasn't just pot she was on, though she wouldn't fess up to anything else...But pot dosen't make you delirious, dosen't make you angry all the time, and dosen't make you forget the gender of your four-year-old daugher...and later, forget who she is entirely. IE:

"This is my son, Caleb." --My mother actually said this, talking about me. Now, at the time, I was three, with a short boy's hair cut (my hair used to fall out) and my name is Kayla, which sounds close to Caleb...but either way. And as I said, about nine years later, one night, she forgot who I was all together....But either way...Pot is bad no matter what...so just don't go there. Don't go with any of it. *sigh*

I must concur with you all about pot sucking. Not do to loss of memory or even the fact that it's a gateway drug. Mainly cause it makes people lazy.

Granted, my ex-pothead/dealer friend STILL has his job at Discover card (Ever wonder why people laugh at Discover card...He must be the reason) all his pot-head friends couldn't get a job (Let alone want one) so he supports them AND their habits cause they're lazy and he's smoked his brain away.

People say, "How can you support alcohol and not Weed?"

I reply, "When did I ever SUPPORT alcohol?"

I in fact wouldn't really mind a world devoid of alcohol... Granted some people may miss it since the only reason to drink is to escape your problems and because you don't have the ability to have fun without it much like drug atticts. Those who say that Alcohol or drugs *Enhances* the moment are full of crap... How can something enhance a moment and the next day you can't remember what moment was just enhanced?

And yes, every now and again I do drink like a Smirnoff or two but I never get drunk...Mainly cause I can't comprhend spending money I NEED when it's only gonna last a whole 5 hours when I can just as easily turn on a video game that can keep for YEARS. Or hell, I can go outside or see a movie or something.

So yeah, Ummm drugs suck and so do mind altering jiggers like Alcohol and Whippets...Oh, and huffing. Sex is ok though...Mainly cause it's mind altering but afterwards ya just want a sammich and go to sleep instead of drive your car for some munchies or to run over people.

I was never into drugs either. Since for about ten years I was on these seizure medication tegritol, and not only was concerned about how even a beer with effect me with that, but also I never liked the feeling of losing control of my mind ya know?

In high school I stayed well away from the druggies and the potheads. Unfortunatly I had an entire English class with them and the teacher pretty much encouraged that stuff, stupid B**ch. It wasn't untill later I found oout one of the kids in that class died from heart failure after a night of heavy drug use.

In college, a few of my friends did light pot. I was even there when a few of them lit up. I of course passed, and they knew I wasn't into it.

Soda seems to be as hard as I will get. Nyquil does a mnumber on me, so not even that, but give me a three liter of Pineappe soda and I'm ready to party! Silly

I cant agree more with what's been said. I still stand by the fact that I dont see what good can come of doing them, and also, when people are doing them and you confront them, they always say its thier life, blah blah, and while yeah, it is thier life, but it does AFFECT those around them...which is pooey. So add selfish to the list of effects of the drugs

well, the one kid i cant stand more than anyone else in the world does pot. all he ever does is make fun of me and then go on and on about how he got high that weekend, or how hes gonna sell or buy pot tomorrow, and all that crap. its incredibly annoying. he one time said that my playing warcraft 3 was just like him smoking pot cus its addictive and it wastes my life. i told him at least it wouldnt kill me, and i can remember playing warcraft 3. his older brother was already expelled for selling pot in the bathroom several years ago. but then again, my high school has one of the highest pot use rates in the nation. frikken private school, rich parents hand their kids money, thats why. kids today need to learn to work, then maybe theyd understand why pot sucks, but probably not.

Oh--let me add this--All the people I know in my life that smoke pot, and their status:

Rhea - Jobless, lives off her boyfriend
Richard - Has a job, but is *stupid*.
Scott my Dad - God knows, I have no clue where he is.
Scott my uncle - Jobless, and also homeless.

None of them really have work ethic, because they smoked it away.
